I Love the AAC Support

Yeah..bet they have enough combustibles saved up to torch every Little 12 town with some left over

Funny how ole 30Fat accused Herd fans of rooting against The Darklings no matter who they played yet we see that they do that when the Herd is playing.

Personally, I'd like to see Marshall get invited into the American Conference. I think it's what you need to get your program to the next level. You've done all your going to do in CUSA. I think you would get your butt handed to you the first 5 years, just like you did when you moved into CUSA, but I think in the long run it is what would be best for you.

Same argument for uwv. They should hope for a invite to the AAC and in about 5 yrs they would be fine.

Thank you concord alum, we certainly appreciate your advice and support. We will jump right on it. You keep puffing that wv out on your chest so everyone knows you are a die hard supporter of a bottom dwelling P5 conference team that gets a fat check.

Not necessarily bottom dwelling. I did enjoy my trips to Atlanta and Miami for our Sugar and Orange Bowl wins. Wish Concord got a chance to play in one of those, but unfortunately their chances are as good as Marshall's.

In all serious - I'm trying to be civil with posting something positive. Do you guys honestly feel like you wouldn't need an adjustment period if you joined the AAC? There's nothing wrong with that. An AAC invite would mean a better TV deal, more national exposure, and bigger conference games in Huntington. I would thoroughly enjoy seeing Marshall join the AAC. When you guys think of Houston, you think of Houston of the past, when the average football fan across America thinks of Houston, they think of the Houston that just whipped Florida State. Not North Florida. Not Southwest Florida. Not Florida International. Jimbo's Florida State Seminoles. The 'Noles. The Chop. That one.

Ah, the non-alumni Spamite "I'm trying to be nice" thematic.

Whatever.

Houston, a team that 99.9% of people in Houston could not care less about had ONE good year. Just like Central Florida, a team that 99.9% of people in Orlando could not care less about had ONE good year a few years ago. It is unsustainable and has no real effect on the broader world of college football.

As to this whole idea, understand that at least the top 3 (CUSA, MWC, AAC) , if not the top 4 (plus the MAC) G5s are exactly the same. A move from one to another is lateral move that does nothing but force the team to sit out a transition year or two and pay out money it does not have. The level of competition is about the same, actually a small step down.

And, since you bring up the past, you do know, right, that Marshall beat Clemson. Once. It was unstainable. Just as Houston short time as a footnote is. And enjoy your memories of WVU's past, because the (always undeserved) "Big" East autobid to a big bowl is OVER. Enjoy the Motel 6, because this last year is all WVU will EVER be able to produce in a major conference. Ever. Ever. No matter the coach. No matter the circumstances. 8-4, 7-5, 5-7, 9-3. All there is. It was a huge mistate for WVU to try to move up to the true major level. It lacks the resources, and always will just be a fieldfiller.

You must not have watched FAU take UF to the final seconds. I am glad UH beat FSU, most of the G5 want success, so the G5 has to win those games. AAC was worse than CUSA last year........who is to say that it will not rotate again, and if you think it will not you aren't paying attention. The only G5 conference that has no shot at rotating right now is the Sunbelt, the other 4 can on any given year. AAC has a few better bowls, and no one can say anything about the tv money until its announced so who knows. Competition wise, don't kid yourself, we were in the same conference as most of the AAC schools for a while and the only reason(s) we didn't compete very well at first was Snyder and recovering from scholarship reductions. Going 10-4 in 2013 against mostly AAC schools shows a bit of ignorance here.

You hilljacks are simply too funny You say you come in peace, then put MU in same boat as Concord. Just post it where the sun doesn't shine. Now puff out that chest because you root for a P5 school and you think that makes your unimportant life special.

They would have lost 2 or 3 in CUSA

I beg the differ. You have one team in CUSA (WKU) that even remotely resembles a Big 12 scheme. You saw how that turned out.

You guys on this board are so filled with delusion it is impossible to have a football conversation with you. I started posting in this thread by saying I support a MU move to the AAC because it would help your program. Instead your hatered and jealously of WVU's success has caused you to comprehend my posts as a MU bashing thread.

The Orange Bowl is in the Miami area, so you that means you went to the Sugar Bowl in Atlanta? Last I checked, that game is played in New Orleans. Nice try.
The 2006 Sugar Bowl was played in Atlanta while New Orleans was being re-built.

G

Thread was dumb until this post and then it went full retard.......best to delete to save face pal.
Dude, no one here is impressed with your school, get over it. Barely beating ASU? I don't think I have anything to defend here.

In all honesty, who cares what you think? Nothing to be jealous of, hatred, yes, but not your school, its your asinine fanbase.

Pretty sure we would have beaten all three of those teams. WKU may have given us a game 3 out of every 10 games, but we have no problem taking care of everyone else. You guys didn't have the roster to compete with us year in and year out over the course of the series. You don't have the roster to beat us today either. You guys have no clue of the type of roster it takes to compete at this level week in and week out because you guys won't never schedule teams of this caliber. I'd love to see you play TCU, Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, or even Texas Tech this year. Mahomes would have made your defense look flat out stupid. I'll give you a win against Kansas. Iowa State would be a tossup. Texas beats you by two touchdowns. Everyone else in the conference wins by 20. Our secondary would have eaten Litton alive. Especially had the game been played during OOC when we still had Karl Joseph.

Didn't you go to Concord? What's with the "we" talk?

Regardless, your time is up here. We don't play in bball or football anymore and I have very little patience for WVU fans talking down to our fans on HN.
