This is the new trend. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and so forth. Social media can go places and tell the Marshall story we can't afford to buy. They may need to balance it out some but trust me if 38000 fans tweet or post pics on FB the reach could be in the tens of millions. I had a pic of my wife and me and had over 200 likes from people all over the place.
That may be true for Instagram, I don't use it. But it is certainly not true for social media in general. If people 3 hours after the game see a post about Marshall and it goes out all over the nation or region that is a positive for Marshall football. I assure you there is a reason why business want to have a presence on social media.The people you're getting likes from are on Instagram, viewing it through the hashtag, not when it shows up on a board in a stadium. That's the whole fallacy of this stupid, stupid idea - there's already a place where your Instagram posts are broadcast to every Instagram user in the world. It's called Instagram.
