If we are going to play world police, it is important to have our most important partners involved. Trump did that. And it's the first time I've seen him actually consult other leaders and build a consensus, and he did it with a State Department in the shitter so he got on the phone and did this himself.

That said, it's a waste of time and money. But it's going to take a truly transformative leader to get us off this world police track.
