Capitol Ministries believes it is the first Cabinet-level bible study for "at least 100 years". There was a group during George W Bush's presidency, but it was for lower-ranking staff members.

President Trump is not a member of Drollinger's group - but he is a Christian, and does get Drollinger's eight-page print-outs most weeks.

"He writes me back notes on my bible studies," says Drollinger.

"He's got this leaky Sharpie felt-tip pen that he writes all capital letters with. 'Way to go Ralph, really like this study, keep it up.' Stuff like that."

So in between his obsessive viewing of cable television news outlets to see what they are saying about him, he also is writing weekly letters to the easter bunny's assistant.

I don't know how this guy has time to play golf every three days.

Because Donald Trump is the epitome of virtue and Christian lifestyle.

Yeah I wouldn’t call Trump a Christian by any stretch of the imagination. That said, he is probably the most Christian agenda-enacting president that I can remember. That’s why he is polling so high among evangelicals and why he will continue to get their vote.

Help me understand your point of view...what Christian agenda enactments has he passed or instituted?

That’s a great question. Can’t wait for country’s answer. Catholics are leaving trump at a record pace.

Yep, the guy that has never asked for forgiveness nor felt the need to ask for forgiveness is the epitome of virtue and holiness

Pretty good list. I'll add his support for the 2nd amendment as well. Keep in mind, the anti-Christ leftists view Christian evangelicals as simply Bible-thumping religious nuts. In other words, they don't view them as normal human beings. They don't understand that Christians also love all of the items included in your list. They don't understand that Christians enjoy more money in their pocket, that Christians enjoy a strong military, supporting the men and women in blue, strong borders, fair trade, fighting crime, etc.

Ol' Two Corinthians has surrounded himself with Prosperity Gospel false prophets, televangelist charlatans, Dominionist theocrats, and the dispensational pre-millennialists that want to set off world war in the Middle East so Jesus can come back. Of course, Trump believes in Jesus about as much as I believe the Reds will win the World Series in this year, but he sure as hell lets these nuts influence his decisions so he can keep the Bible-Thumper vote. The whole supporting Jerusalem as the Israeli capitol thing? Hasten The Second Coming, the Rapture, and Armageddon. Iran? The same. And that's why that crowd is willing to support Trump: he's one of the one's Jesus was talking about in John 8:44, but hey if he can help get Jesus back here quicker it's all good.

Man can do absolutely nothing to hasten the Lords return. 99.99999999999% of Christians know this.

This might be the most ignorant thing ever posted on this board, or it is really good satire.

Very little of this has anything to do with Christianity and some of it stands against its basic principles. Trade agreements and Paris Accords? So Jesus was for trade agreements? So since he considered at one point last month to reverse his decision on TPP, was that an unchristian act? Is Jesus for big oil and carbon emissions? Did you give Obama credit for a Christian act when Bin Laden was killed on his watch? Would Jesus, the ultimate pacifist, be about strengthening the military?

You are just throwing stuff up in the air that has nothing to do with Christianity. You can build cases for tax reduction and strengthening the military and I might go along with you on it. But for the life of me I can't do the mental gymnastics necessary to call Trump a great Christian president. I don't care how many smiley faces he writes with his sharpie on the bible study paper.

I always found it quite interesting how Christians can support a character such as Trump who doesn't always seem to embody Christian morals in his behavior. If he wore a bracelet, it would be a WWDTD bracelet - What Would Donald Trump Do?

The effect he may have had on N. Korea cannot be understated. Giving Kim Jong Un a verbal taste of his own verbal medicine (venom) might have been the last straw that broke the camel's back. Of course the election of Moon Jae Yin and Olympics in Seoul helped tremendously.

I don't know if his starting trade wars are a good idea.

Contrary to what others on the left think, Trump is tough on Russia, although I do wish Russia and the US can get along better.

Among other things:

Reinstated Mexico City Policy, prohibiting $9 billion in foreign aid to be used to fund the abortion industry.

Appointment of pro-life judges...specifically Neil Gorsuch.

Signed an Executive Order protecting religious freedoms.

Moving our embassy to Jersusalem.

Saying “Merry Christmas” instead of just “Happy Holidays.”

Some of that might sound little to the outside, but trust me, it’s meat and potatoes for evangelicals.

Curious, are you suggesting that Christians would have been better off supporting Hillary?

How would they be better off as Christians either way? I don't think Hillary was going to round them up and feed them to the lions.
that is my point. Christians are accused of being in favor of a less than perfect candidate (Trump). In this case, there was no candidate that fit the criteria of what many would like in a President. In the case of Trump he certainly is a man with many flaws. He is however the first guy in a while who is listening to the Evangelical voter. So until a more moral guy comes around, he is a better choice than HC who stands against many of the values of the average Christian voter in this nation.

Saying “Merry Christmas” instead of just “Happy Holidays.”

It's a good thing he brought that back:

See, that's the problem with you deplorables. You're just too fvcking stupid to know reality. Just because cheeto said it over and over and over and over, you somehow think it is true. He kept promising to bring "Merry Christmas" back to the White House, but it never went anywhere. It was there numerous times each year. The fact that Obama is caring, considering, and thoughtful enough to realize that not all Americans celebrate Christmas also allowed him to say "happy holidays" before and after "Merry Christmas" many times. That should be applauded. But, hey, keep believing everything a habitual liar says. It does nothing to change the fact that the majority of cheeto's supporters were uneducated (who he loves, just ask him).

1. No one fits your criteria? Then don't vote for any of the choices.
2. What is Trump really listening to? I guess to people who want WW3 so Jesus can come back...that's fairly crazy. Abortion? Still legal, and that isn't going to change. He's putting on a dog and pony show for them that's even more ridiculous than any other GOP POTUS I can think of (seriously, I would love to know what he was thinking when he had people laying hands on him and praying...something along the lines of "these dumb, gullible mf'ers", I'm sure).
3. What does HC stand against? She's pro-choice? I'd bet money Trump has paid for more abortions than Hillary. Is she a serial adulterer? Sexual harasser or assaulter? Married to one, sure...but that should be a plus, by all rights she should have divorced Bill but didn't, so she's not even guilty of divorce. Trump? Two divorces.

99.99999999% of Christians know the Bible says not to eat pork, but we love us some bacon.

Jesus declares all foods clean in Mark 7.

The food laws, and all the ceremonial regulations, as the Book of Hebrews makes clear, were temporary laws pointing forward to Christ. Since the fulfilment has come, the scaffolding is no longer needed.

Preachers all tell people something different. I've heard those food laws were to protect against food borne illnesses. Defilement wasn't the main concern, but an excuse to tell people what was healthier. Not that I care, because I eat bacon every week.

But its for my precious mother. Mom can't get out of bed. She has a bag for the urine but has to mess in the bed. This is harder for her than us. She doesn't want Hospice. She wants home health care. Mom wants to get better and live. They came yesterday to evaluate her for home health. They will work along side hospice. Mom has COPD and is on oxygen. She is getting stronger. She can hold a Pepsi in her hands now. We have to give her a breathing treatment every 4 hrs so we have to work in shifts at night. My mom is my wives best friend and I love her more than ever so this is Not as hard as everyone telling me I'm up to my neck in work. Hopefully God has me where he wants me. Had to put a A/C in at midnight the first night. The 2 breathing machines really put off the heat. The terminology I'm not sure of. In the hospital she was getting 15 something of oxygen. They can't transport you no higher than 10. So they dropped her to 10 and her numbers went higher in the low 90's. So we got her here and its set on 10. Anybody know about these numbers? Mom has a Sharpe mind. Secretary for the county attorney here when younger and unlike me could type 100 words a minute and loves shorthand. It makes it easier because she is very very alert. She has a 6.7 centimeter Anyerism in her stomach. To big to operate. Has a second smaller one on her aorta. Oh yea a cracked vertebra which complicates moving around in the bed. She wants us to find a Dr who would operate on her Anyerisms. Is this possible?

I've said this before to you and Murox on here.

Just because you grew up in idiocy Xianity doesn't mean the Church hasn't spoken with one voice on this for 1900 years until uncle joe bob decided edumication was for libruls.

OMG nobody is wanting to start WW3. Can you provide some info to back that up please. Please don't act like HC is some kind of saint cause that just makes you look bad.

One voice for 1900 years? Even an athiest historian knows better. Maybe some little things they agreed on...but actual wars have been fought over whose vision of God was correct.

I guess it's all idiocy Xianity, because I've been to about every church there is (except for the real weirdos like Mormons, 7th Day, and Jehovah's Witnesses) and every one says something slightly different. Which is pretty much why I avoid church, except for Lent to eat lots of fried fish.

And in all seriousness, "idiocy Xianity" is winning. That's what the cool people are into today. Besides Hispanic Catholics, it's the only thing growing

Who the hell is Joe Bob?
