This isn't anything but a recruiting tool (the sex not the murders). In a way it shows a little bit of their desperation in the way they have to use sex slaves to get people to fight and maintain morale. The fact that 250 women (and girls really) chose to die rather than submit speaks a little to what IS is up against.

The scary part there is a segment of the Muslim world that supports their cause. Enough that everyone should be alarmed. Reality Islam, and their view of it, is as much a political movement as it is a religion.
