Is Hillary too tired, or too special to go to Louisiana to tour flood areas?

Obama & Hillary will go eventually, playing follow the leader. Given how little the news is covering the devastation, I'm starting to wonder if Obama actually knows just how bad the damage really is. Isn't this the President who only learns about things when it makes the evening news?

of course the governor of the state asked them not to come because of the resources it takes for such a visit, but...

Watch the video I just posted.

EDWARDS: But I’ve been talk (ph) — the White House asked me — in fact, the president and Valerie Jarrett asked me when would be a good time for a visit. I asked them to let us get out of the response mode where we were still conducting searches of houses, and we were still making rescues. I didn’t want to divert these police officers, sheriff’s deputies and state troopers and other essential resources and assets to providing security for the president while they were needed in this region to undergo those — or to undertake those response activities. And I asked that if he could wait until the response was over and we got into the recovery phase, which I predicted we would do over the weekend and certainly next week would be a better time for us to visit. But the president is welcome to come to our state anytime that he wants to.

Yup, but then the same governor & also Democrat Mary Landrieu were complimentary of Trump's visit. The same governor called it helpful.

This governor must hate black people.

You've seen one flood, you've seen them all.
Louisiana flooding and Appalachian flooding are different. WV Floods the water is there for a day or so and starts going down with usually and swift current. Louisiana floods are like filling a baking pan with water. It just sits there for days on end. Both have there own unique problems.

true having lived in both states you are correct

You look up at the levy. The river level is still below the french quarter. Thats why the french quarter hardly ever gets flooded. Its the old part of town where they knew didnt flood so much. The outer areas like the 9th ward and metaire are in the newer man made areas where they have drained marsh land and made the land settle below sea level. Hence why 9th ward and Metaire flooded, while the french quarter only suffered wind damage. My chums there actually evactuated livingston and ascension parrish and went to New Orleans this time. Usually its the other way around

My fear for the residents of Louisiana is what's brewing in all that standing water (Zika & West Nile.)

I was being sarcastic. But I am aware of the differences, it is much like our riverside bottom lands here in Indiana. It's fertile land, but if the river floods in early spring you are not going to be able to plant in time because the water and mud just sets there.
