It’s honestly a joke at this point. Not only are they bowl eligible, but one of the better teams in the country.I did see on ESPN that there is a clause that if there aren't enough bowl eligible teams to fill all 76 spots, then JMU can be placed in one of those unfilled spaces.
Basically, the Dukes need to root against every 4 win and 5 win team the next two weeks.
….except, m a y b e ….the PGA?The Masters is not a PGA Tour event. No major tournament is a PGA Tour tournament.
Actually, no. The PGA Championship is conducted by the PGA of America. The PGA TOUR is a completely independent entity. It’s been that way for many decades.….except, m a y b e ….the PGA?
I agree with you... Its a pretty weak G5 year... Tulane, Liberty and JMU are the best there is and I don't think that any of them are top 20. Tulane is on track for the NY6 game, where they will play the Big12 runner up in the Peach Bowl, since the Peach Bowl has last pick of the NY6 games this year. The rule is stupid. I can see its purpose in reverse, making a team sit out as it moves back down, but it makes no sense this way.
JMU knew the rules when it signed up.
Anybody who thinks JMU is "one of the best teams in the country" doesn't follow football very much.
WTF. I've never cheated on my wife. However, if the ladies of Fox News would invite me over to play pivot man in a game of orgy, I would likely accept.NCAA has to punish someone for michigans cheating
I think it's a silly rule.
Guarantee it was said in JMU board meetings when making the decision to move up that they wouldn't be bowl eligible.
It is what it is.

They're not punishing anyone. JMU knew this was the deal when they made the transition. It's not like they got blindsided by all of this.NCAA has to punish someone for michigans cheating
Not a really…shame on NCAA and disappointed for the SBC. JMU could have represented the SBC in the NY6 game
Except that’s not the point. The bar is “would they be the best G5 conference champion”. Having watched, I think they would be.The rule is stupid. I can see its purpose in reverse, making a team sit out as it moves back down, but it makes no sense this way.

Lighten up Francis. It was said tongue in cheek because that’s usually how the ncaa operates. They're not punishing anyone. JMU knew this was the deal when they made the transition. It's not like they got blindsided by all of this.
What this boils down to is JMU is probably lose their HC and their AD is retiring so they are trying everything they can to cash in while they still can.
Still they knew this was the deal. If they were 1-3 games over .500 I don't think they'd be screaming this much about it. The fans are acting like a bunch of babies because they don't understand it and think they're getting screwed.
You made the agreement and have appealed 2 or 3 times and have been given a ruling. Accept it and move on.
"Welcome MichiganHerd, and you are outnumbered
I would have to agree with Michigan on this one. Especially if Dagen McDowell was involved.WTF. I've never cheated on my wife. However, if the ladies of Fox News would invite me over to play pivot man in a game of orgy, I would likely accept.
You can’t be serious.I would have to agree with Michigan on this one. Especially if Dagen McDowell was involved.
now if it was Kathy griffin he’d be on to somethingYou can’t be serious.
That’s like being asked “Ginger or Maryanne” and picking the millionaire’s wife.
