Several years ago, I constructed a concrete parking pad that I seldom use. Since I always do some big summer project to keep me occupied, I have decided to transform the pad into an outdoor putting green. I have looked at some of the portable putting mat units in the 12’ range with three different holes.

My first step is to refurbish the 20’ slab since the area around the green will show. I have decided to use a product called Spread Rock that is a stone and acrylic mixture that you most often see on high end garage floors.

I have read and reread and installation instructions and believe there is nothing that is not within my skill level. Plan on starting a little later this summer.

The materials are a bit pricey and I don’t want to make a major mistake. Any if you have any experience with this or a similar coating? Looks fairly straightforward. Clean the slab, apply their primer, two coats of the acrylic stone applied with a squeegee, apply a sealer coat. Putt away.
