Total and complete humiliation! Understand losing two key men on front offensive line and Evans in running game is key, but feel coaching staff should have had an adjusted game plan in place. At this level, is that expecting too much?
Don't sell Rice too short. After we beat them last year they were 0-9. Won their last 3 games. Then this year they could have been 2-1 if not for an unfortunate field goal miss in an OT game. Plus, they had a perfect defensive game plan for us, not to mention that their coach was on the field and in the ear of the officials on every flag thrown. Just curious, how do you have an official's huddle and call PI 5 minutes later. Wouldn't the proper procedure be to throw the flag first and then review and discuss it? I know we played like crap, but the officiating wasn't much better and it certainly did not cause us to lose.
Rice sucks. Period. There is no excuse. They lost the game that you referenced to MTSU who is a terrible team.
Coming in their only win was against a USM team that is imploding.
In the losses to mighty MTSU and UNT, they gave up an average of 34 points per game. 34! They shut out the #15 team in America on the road

They could have been 2-1? Yeah, they could have been had they not lost to a 2-5 MTSU, but they weren't good enough to beat a 2-5 team.

And your excuse of losing 20-0 to a bad team while throwing 5 INTs is that the refs weren't good or took too long to make sure they made the correct call?
You must have a reading comp. problem. Go back and read where I said "the officiating.....did not cause us to lose" the game.
In the end the officiating may not have lost us the game, but they started the ball rolling in the first half.
Rolling the ball literally would have been more successful for us yesterday.
It’s the same thing I mock on here after every loss. Claim the officiating was bad.
That’s almost as dumb as saying that Rice isn’t bad because they almost beat a 2-5 team and that their 3-9 record last year doesn’t count since they won three straight games . . . or that they had some sort of advantage because Bloomgren was yelling at the ref.
