I have no idea of the veracity about the accusations against him. I could easily see it being a case of a guy trying to hook up with a girl, him trying to kiss her while being on top of her, his friend goofing around and seeing the girl being uncomfortable and jumping on top of them to diffuse the situation. The girl could have interpreted the laughing entirely different. Who knows. Frankly, as a 16 year old boy, I am not extremely concerned about something he may have done (outside of something extremely egregious). Though wrong, I don't consider a drunk 16 year old boy, once, trying to kiss and get on top of a teenage girl with their clothes on (avoiding the groping, hand over mouth thing all together).

What bothers me the most is his emotional stability as an adult. I get it - the guy could possibly lose out on an opportunity to reach the pinnacle of his career. His family, including daughters, have to be put through these allegations. I understand it's maddening. But this is a guy who will debate with some bright minds on topics that are extremely important to our country, yet he is on there crying numerous times, losing his temper multiple times, raising his voice at a person asking him questions . . . if it's an act that was coached, it was a horrible strategy. If it's his natural reaction, I would far rather have an even-headed person in control of their emotions regardless of how difficult the situation is.

Disagree. I think it's a great strategy. Imagine someone completely fabricating a story about you, ruining your name, your career, everything you've worked for your entire life. I'm actually surprised he's kept it together as well as he has.

I would expect that answer from a snowflake like you. I’m sure you would have melted all over the senate floor.

I agree with you first paragraph.

I have yet to watch him, but do you think he is coached, he doth protest too much, or does it come across sincere?

If anybody thinks that is an act, then I don’t know what else to say. The man is obviously devastated by this, as anybody would be. This isn’t tort law. It’s falsely accusing someone of sexual assault. Big difference.

Why cry? I'd call them all a bunch of motherfvckers and get on with it. Shit, that would be a home run with the Trump base. There's no crying in baseball.

Yeah, I probably wouldn't cry either, but he has to appeal to Flake and Collins, who probably eat that up.

He came across like a guy who truly believes he's been falsely accused of sexual assault & can't believe the farce this has become.

And of course he has a gameplan. A judge would be insane not to go in with one. Just like it's evident Ford was heavily coached before she went in.

That's similar to what I told a fellow redneck a couple hours back. He should walk into the hearing dressed in a camo shirt, levi's jeans, and shortly after taking the oath, stand up, and let them all know that back in the day, he used to get shit-faced drunk, smoked a bunch a good weed, banged the shit out of some decent pvssy, and then walk out. If the Senators were honest with themselves, he would get 70-75 votes on the floor.

So how many of you guys were virgins for several years after high school?

I wouldn't go quite that far...I don't think they let you in chambers in jeans.

I have no idea if it is an act or not. I would rather it be an act than that be his natural disposition.

If these numerous allegations are false, it's shitty for him. I get it. Many men in power have to deal with similar situations (some guilty, some not). But for a guy who is going to have heated debates with other bright minds on topics that will have major impact on American society? I prefer somebody stoic who can handle bullshit being thrown. To cry multiple times, lose his temper so much, and raise his voice the way that he did is not somebody that embodies a personality I'd like to see in that position, regardless of his politics.

It's no different than I like to see in any leadership position. At certain limited times, showing emotion is needed. But if you're a head coach on a sideline, a quarterback on the field, or a Supreme Court Justice, you need to be in control of your emotions at all times and maintain a level-head. He failed monumentally on that.

This is a sad day in America. The left will do anything now to keep a conservative off the bench. This is a hit job. It's not like this is the first time they have used this play.Funny how you don't see this kind of crazy out of the conservatives. She lied about flying and is lying about not knowing who paid for her polygraph test no doubt. Maybe she had an experience similar at some point in her life. I am sorry for that. I am convinced he is not the guy

Bullshit legal arguments/attacks vs bullshit personal arguments/attacks deserve different responses

I've mentioned this movie over the years, but you should watch The Contender, a favorite movie of mine. How the main character acts in that movie is how a leader should approach, at least outwardly, such allegations.

If he had been "stoic"....the same liberals would be calling him cold, callous, calculating, unemotional.....

Hardly.

I think the prosecutor who interviewed Ford was very good. Even though I am sure her personal politics were impartial, I felt she was very fair and did her role.

According to some reporters who interviewed multiple Georgetown Prep classmates of Kavanaugh's, his recent explanations for his use of "boofed" and "Devil's Triangle" in the yearbook are complete lies.

I knew a whole lot of what you think came from movies because it never came from a book. How to act when guilty. Lol . Sounds how trump handles things. He watches a lot of movies. The contender is his favorite too. You New Yorkers,, and talk about west virginians

He’s mentally unstable...maybe that’s too much? He has a serious anger management problem. He removed any doubt today that he is an angry drunk. Not the temperament of someone who should be on the SCOTUS.

I think he has worked his entire life for this one goal. It wouldn’t surprise me a bit if he goes homicidal when (if) he is voted down.

Didn’t you come on here wanting to fight a guy because he looked at you at a baseball game

Difficult for rifle to grasp name, career and what worked for...

That’s close. He told us that but we all knew he stood there quietly and took a picture, made up a story and ran to a message board like a little bitch.

No.

You might want to check your facts. I know you struggle with those.

I called out a pussy for harassing a college-aged student athlete.
And he provided pictures of said “pussy” not even realizing cuntry was near him for proof

Agree with OP regarding the crying to an extent. I wanted to tell him to get his shit together more than once and act professional. The crying, the argumentative bullshit with the one cvnt about blacking out, same shit with the other lib cacksuckin senator over the devil's triangle.

At the end of the day, the dem senators are a bunch of conniving lying cacksuckers from hell.

Never heard of it. I must have missed out on something back in the day.

Don't listen to BC. cheeto could tell him that he is a disciple of Jesus, and he'd believe it.

Devil's Triangle is a 2 guy, 1 girl threesome. This isn't something new. The term has been around for decades. It isn't a drinking game similar to quarters like Kavanaugh lied about.

"Boof" refers to inserting alcohol or drugs into your ass to get a better buzz. Again, this term has been around for a long time. It isn't about "flatulence" like Kavanaugh said it was.

A reporter, after the yearbook came out days earlier, asked many Georgetown Prep alums what the words meant. They both disagreed with Kavanaugh's definition.

This is what I posted about earlier. The guy is absolutely lying about what those words meant in his yearbook. Read his yearbook. Along with all of those references, you think he just randomly puts in a joke of "Have you farted yet?" Come on.

I was answering Raoul simply from what I heard in the confirmation hearing. Kavanaugh said it was a drinking game like quarters. I have never drank alcohol nor (sadly) have I ever had a threesome. I'm not the authority on this.

He blatantly lied about those two things. No one called him out on it though. I guess Blumenthal was embarrassed to talk about sex. Any good attorney would have nailed him to the cross there just to show he was lying under oath.

How the hell do you know? Even if it did mean that it doesn't mean harmed the woman in question or assaulted her.

We played Smear the Queer growing up. IT wasn't rubbing a homosexual with Vaseline. It was a football game. There are different names for different games. There is a drinking game called Three Man. Some people call a certain game Quarter Bounce or Quarters. There are local names for the games.

Also, teenagers brag about things of which many never happen.

There is absolutely no evidence of this happening. The committee should move on to his merits of being a judge as that is their duty. He is clearly qualified.
