The perception of masculinity sure has changed since the 18th century...long wig, high heels, stockings, feminine pose (by today's standards). Yet this guy was a war monger.

It looks as if our society is heading back in that direction in the way of dress. These millennial fruitcakes want men wearing short, flowery jumpsuits and all clothing/style for men to be as asexual as possible.

That's one reason Greed is so bitter, because he didn't get to grow up with this generation. Instead, he faced getting his ass kicked if he dared to dress how he really wanted when he was a kid.
 
I could see Greed dressing up like Robin when he was 26. Same physical size and gayness a plenty. He learnt his cabinetry trade while playing with his Barbie kitchen set.
