Segler was Marshall’s tight ends coach over the last couple of years. Last week, he wasn’t retained, and yesterday his father passed away after a battle with cancer. Rough time for a guy who put a lot of effort into Marshall.

That should be a damned good get for UMASS shouldn’t it? Assuming they have a qb (they got a transfer I believe) an OL and TEs with talent to catch and run.

Wonder how their program is doing overall as an independent since their brief fling in the MAC? Imagine scheduling is an issue. Probably have to play some road $$$ games each year to help sustain the program.

Yep. Over the next few years they play at Florida State, Penn State, Texas A&M, Auburn and Georgia.
