Really? Evans, Ali, McDaniel, and reports are that Payne shows real promise. It sucks for sure, but we're not thin at RB.

In fairness, due to the way Doc's offense operated (run the same guy, every drive, every play, and don't let underclassmen see the field), we've been thin at HB since 2009.

This is a loss, but it doesn't really change the landscape of the RB room unless Evans, McDaniel or Ali go down... I expect at least at the start of the season Evans will get the majority of the carries with McDaniel being next in line for reps.

I thought Ali looked very good in the spring game. Hope he has a breakout year.

Three speed guys and Payne to get that tough one yard on third down. This will work. Hope the passing game is strong enough so that we don't have to rely on the running game so much.

If that happened we'd be in a bad way regardless if Papilion was healthy.
