A review of Los Angeles County's budget shows that thousands of dollars were allocated to diversity, equity and inclusion programs while the fire department saw major funding cuts.

Seems it could be easy for an adversary to unleash chaos in our society. Create a virus, start ruinous fires. Not saying this is what has happened, but something to ponder.

A review of California Gov. Newsom's budget cuts shows fire prevention funding was reduced substantially just months before the California fires.
The 2024-25 California state budget, which Governor Gavin Newsom signed into law in June 2024, slashed funding for wildfire and forest resilience by $101 million (3% decrease) as part of a series of cutbacks according to an analysis by the state's Legislative Analyst's Office.
However overall, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE)'s wildfire protection budget has increased sharply from $1.1 billion in 2014 to $3 billion(172% increase) in 2023, much of which took place after Newsom became governor in 2019.

Their #1 sacrament is the ability to kill the unborn at will. It all goes back to that single issue. As long as any political hack supports the murder of unborn, they win in Cali. All other issues become moot. The burning of their cities and neighborhoods be damned.

There shouldn't have been a this time. The problem is they didn't clear up the underbrush. It's the kindling to the fire. Some places have not been cleared for four years now. Stated budgetary constraints.
I am not sure 100% that ALL of the fires were not accidents. We know the palisades fire was intentionally set. Not sure that a couple of others may have been arson too.
What they've spent on sanctuary and illegal foreign nationals would have been more than enough to help American citizens. Democrat policies suck.
Meanwhile western nc is still a war zone in parts with tent camps and hours long lines for propane. But the govt graciously extended fema hotel stays one extra day to the 11th because of the winter storm
