Two shitty stories:

1) The GF is a property manager of a family large townhouse/apartment complex of about 190 units. She tends to know every resident, and many of them have lived there for years (including some over 25 years). A resident of two years - a man in his upper 50s - has not paid his rent in the past two months. He told my GF that he was embarrassed that he hasn't been able to pay rent. She had her assistant manager print out a long document that, when completed, would allow the resident to get state assistance to pay his rent for a couple of months. However, the guy never completed it. As a result, the GF had to have him evicted.

She called him last week and left a voicemail explaining to call her back so that their attorney could find an agreeable time for him to retrieve his personal belongings. She thought it was odd that he didn't return the call, since she had known him on a first-name basis for two years, and he was always immediately responsive. On Friday, his ex-wife called the GF to let her know that the guy committed suicide, which they discovered after the man's son wasn't able to get ahold of him for many days. He lost his job 1.5 months ago, his brother passed away a few weeks ago, and then the eviction . . . obviously, the GF is beaten up about it wondering what she could have done differently.

2) Over the weekend, I was on a bicycle with the GF. Across the street, I noticed two teenage boys walking on a sidewalk towards a homeless man who was about to walk past them heading the opposite direction. I didn't think anything of it, so I didn't look again until about 5 seconds later as I was getting closer on my bike. At that moment, I saw one of the two teenagers throw a round object violently at the back of the head of the homeless guy after they had walked past him. Whatever it was exploded like a snowball would upon impact, and the homeless guy turned and let out a horrific scream while throwing his hands in the air and yelling incoherent things. It was a horrible scream - one that sounded like both physical pain and emotional pain.

I told the GF to head home on her bike (which was just around the corner), and I pulled my bike up at the end of the sidewalk blocking the teenagers from starting to walk across the sidewalk (one was on a scooter and the other was holding a skateboard). I asked the kid why he threw that thing at the homeless guy's head. I think he thought that I was asking him because I thought it was funny, so he kind of laughed and said "The guy was following us and annoying me." I knew that didn't make sense, since I I had watched them approaching each other to walk past each other just seconds earlier. I then reiterated his excuse, which he then added to by saying "yeah, he was talking shit and following us, so I got pissed." I proceeded with telling them how much of pussies they were for assaulting a 60 year old homeless guy who had trouble walking, told them that I should assault them to teach them a lesson, etc. The thrower started talking shit like "What do you care, you're just an old rich dude" (which made no sense considering I was in gym clothes, on a rental bike, and of course, am the epitome of the fountain of youth), and the kid on the scooter backed away and said "I have other things to worry about than some fvcking homeless bum."

After getting called out a few times, the thrower tried acting tough and didn't want to back down, so he tried getting in my face, at which time, I shoved him down and mocked him. Even though I was pissed, I never lose my temper, so I purposely reacted that way to teach the kid a lesson instead of doing it out of anger. There are others who try to talk nicely and explain to them why they were in the wrong and try getting them to see what they did to that guy, but I tend to react in a different way.

Three days later, and I am still pissed at those kids. The homeless guy's drawn-out yelps of both physical and emotional pain still is in my head. I wish I had gone back to try and talk to the guy after dealing with the kids.

1. Nothing she could have done differently, she tried helping the best she could in the capacity of her job by offering the forms for state assistance.

2. Stinging the pussy's pride was good. One day "some fvcking homeless bum" is going to stab him, and he will deserve it. Karma has a way of working like that. Maybe you saved him from that.

One of the best line's I ever saw written was on a bathroom stall at the little store just off the Big Otter, WV exit.

Best line I saw was written on the side of the hand towel dispenser in a restroom. Someone wrote "Brooks was here," and then, sure enough, someone else followed up by writing "so was Red."
