I'm not sure why you have "prove" in quotations. Snopes has done an amazingly good job with what they claim to do . . . fact-checking.

Any of their employees having allegiance to a specific party has no relevance to their work as long as they remain neutral in their fact-checking, which by most accounts, they have. Even if they can't prove or disprove something, regardless of the political results of it, they are forthright in admitting not being able to reach a conclusion.
