long review?

Can anyone explain what the decision was on the long review in 3rd Qtr, couldn't understand what the ref said, but Doc was pissed

The way I understood it was that WKU should have been awarded a first down on the 1st and 10 run. Instead it was marked 2nd and 1. Then, they ran a play for negative yardage. The refs negated that play because the distance and down were wrong. The cancelled play reset it to 1st and 10. Basically, the play didn't count.

It didn't help that the ref sounded like a Kentucky version of Ben Stein.
