Lmao that's such a more stacked, experience team. Expect the rush yards per game to take a drastic hit. Our front 7 will be big and strong.

I'm sure that it's not his fault Litton locked in on Reaves most of the time, and our passing game was fairly weak as far as distribution

McManus couldn't catch a cold and couldn't get open. It's his fault.

Jeremy you sure about the QB depth - Birdsong and Holcombe? I look for both to go elsewhere.

We'll have a Freshman from Georgia and the kid from Colorado. We'll be a little short on QBs.

While McManus' play is mostly his fault, I will say that Litton has the habit of locking in on a receiver for awhile. Cato had the same problem his freshman year. With experience, Litton will gain better vision and knowledge of where everyone is on the field, be able to manipulate the defense, and get his receivers more open.

I believe this team will be extremely good and a big step up from this year, especially with Litton gaining experience and strength, IMO

With the schedule as it is, and the unknown WR corps. I'm predicting 9-3 and a bowl win next year. Of course, if the WRs improve that could easily be an 11-1 season.

This all hinges on Legg being elsewhere, mind you.

Our WR core is a joke right now. McManus has been I colossal disappointment.

I place more blame on Litton than McManus. Litton has been erratic at times and his ball placement/accuracy has been suspect. Didn't throw many deep balls either. Litton has to get better.
But yeah, our WR isn't very spectacular. Doc needs to bring in some good jucos. jmo.

Litton's biggest problem that I have seen is throwing off his back foot while under pressure. That just leads to a bigger issue, he shouldn't be under pressure ALL the time. At times is appears our receivers either take plays off or just do not play aggressive enough to go after the ball. So more aggression from the receivers, more protection for Litton and better run blocking would propel the offense back to where it should be.

I love all the blame being placed on the FRESHMAN quarterback. The same freshman qb that has played very well, all things considered.

The kid has potential but it comes with the territory. Happened to every QB I have seen come through MU. Hell, Cato was crucified in some form every year he was here. Its not right, but thats the nature of the beast.
Besides, I think Litton himself would tell you he needs to improve. Or at least he should realize it. He's ours for the next 3 years.

The most striking demographic that stands out to me in your 2 position projections is I count only 8 seniors...

Yes QB coach is needed.

Actually I see us making a run at the access bowl if Chase drops the earrings and starts thinking about leading vs how cool he looks. JK!

McManus will be clutch . I have faith, but many players see sophomore slumps. I also but blame like others had said on a freshman qb and Leggs who didn't always use McManus . I remember him being clutch picking up first downs in the MTSU . mike furry said a big difference was throwing and game-planning for wide receivers the Charlette game .

I'd like to see McManus in the slot. Big body and a match-up nightmare working the middle of the field.

As it stands right now, I see 9-3 next year and us winning the East playing USM at USM in the CUSA title game. jmo.

I see us 11-1 , winning CUSA and having a strong shot at the access bowl.

Indeed I won't make any apologies, I don't like earrings on any man, especially not my Marshall QB.

I am old school, which is why I like birdsong as much as I like chase. High tops are a good thing for. QB to wear, just ask Johnny U.

Go herd!

Isn't Johnny U dead? Welcome to the 21st century. I never have had earrings but damn who cares what your QB looks like as long as he gets the job done.

Because "men" don't wear earings. That's all. Not a racist, prejudice, bigoted, hateful, statement. Just a true statement. Earings are for women. Co**rings are for men. However, an earring doesn't mean he can't lead our team to a championship. Just a true statement also.

Do you even know why he wears the earrings?

How the f*ck is that a true statement?

Jesus H. tap-dancing Christ... We are arguing about an 18 year old wearing an earring? A kid that happens to be one of our best players and the key to success over the next three seasons.

Some of you guys need to find a hobby.

Some men wear earrings and some women wear pants. Time to move on.

Wait a minute Rhino you say some women now wear pants??? Next thing you will tell me is they no longer have to stay in the kitchen and be pregnant all the time!!!

If the only thing you have to complain about is our quarterback wears earrings then I got a phone call for you it's from the year 1950 and even it said to lighten up!

Back on topic;
McManus moving back to TE would probably be a smart move. He's not quick enough to play WR and get seperation. Add to that his hands seem to be off and on, and you have all the makings of an H-back or TE.

Another big body on the D line would be nice. Bee is going to be really good, but he's clearly a rush end. We need a middle filler and a guy who can pick up a double team.

I'd rather McManus get time at safey than TE. He wouldn't ever see meaningful time there, and he's too talented to not have on the field somewhere.

That's actually a pretty good idea. I hadn't really thought about him on that side of the ball. With his clear love of hitting the gym, he could possibly pull a DJ and be a nice outside coverage LB.

It is a true statement earrings are for women and not for men. Nothing to argue there. It is also true it has nothing to do whether he can win football games or not. Nothing to argue there either. Go Chase!!
