The schedule for the ACC was released yesterday and the Cards are traveling to Huntington on Saturday, September 24. Should be a lot of red in the stadium. Glad Cato is gone.

I am hoping to make the trip over. This should be a very good game, what's Marshall look like next year?

We should be very good and I would imagine we'll be favored to win CUSA East.

We return somewhere in the neighborhood of 13 starters and most of our losses were along our defensive front seven, which was the strength of last year's team. We do have some promising newcomers on defense (Davon Durant from ASU/JUCO and C.J. Reavis from Va Tech/JUCO) but stopping your QB Jackson will be tough to say the least. He's incredible.

We played a true freshman at QB last year (Chase Litton) so we're hoping for a big jump from him.

Huge game for our program. If we win our first two (home against an FCS and Akron) I'd expect a sellout. Should be a great atmosphere.

our new QB has the tools and size to be right there with Cato when his career is over. he won 10 games (including Bowl) as a true Freshman. he should only get better...

I follow WKU very closely and I know how good they have been of lately. Marshall has been right there with WKU so that says alot to me and other UofL fans.

I agree with your comment about Lamar Jackson, he is going to be very tough to contain. We're all hoping that Bobby Petrino will continue to develop his passing game and footwork while under center. Lamar has expressed the desire to learn how to work from under center, he was a pistol/shotgun QB in high school. Petrino's offense works very well when the QB is under center, he loves the play action pass.

Offensive line, TE and RBs should be a strength in 2016. QB is very capable but WR is still a question. It will be interesting to see if former Louisville signee James Allen will get snaps at RB.

Defensive ends, and safeties are a strength. LBs are very talented but untested. Corner could be a position of concern. DL lost a ton of experience and talent but young guys got some good reps last season. It will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Will need to replace a punter that averaged 44.4 yards per punt his senior season. Will have to find a kick/punt returner to replace a guy that returned 3 kicks for TDs last season too.

we also have a 4 game win streak against the Cards to protect... last time they beat us was in 1981.

Let me tell you guys about this Lamar Jackson young man. I bleed green like most of you on this board, but it's going to be a long day for the Herd defense. Oh, not to mention the Louisville wide-outs...long day! Go Herd!

So what did you "tell us about Lamar Jackson". Tremendous respect has already been voiced for him. Anyone who saw one series in Louisville's bowl game saw what he is. I just keep reading for something you told us.

yes, Jackson is great. there have been several other "great" Cards lose to the Herd....

Calvin Pryor #18 overall 2014 draft
Marcus Smith #26 overall 2014 draft
Teddy Bridgewater #32 overall 2014 draft
Amobi Okoey #10 overall 2007 draft
Ted Washington #25 overall 1991 draft
Bruce Armstrong #23 overall 1987 draft

...and those are just the 1st rounders. so before you guys slip and fall giving Jackson a reach-around try and remember we have beaten good/better players before...................

Knowing Jackson as a highly effective runner is not doing a juvenile reach around. It is having watched The Herd enough to know our history with such quarterbacks is not good.
