MAGA hats price increase:

The irony here is the MAGA supporters who will pay double what they used to for a MAGA hat and will mindlessly support it.

Not against more stuff bought and sold in the U.S.

These tariffs make sense to me. Realize it's strong medicine, but we can't continue going down the same path... And there's really no playing nice.

I believe this is one area that trump is right.

Really? I thought the irony here was that your attempt to make fun of others (the president and his supporters) hilariously blew up in your face because you were too lazy/dumb to confirm the truthfulness of the story by consulting multiple sources.

It’s easy to say that now, but when these tariffs increase the price of necessities and luxuries we as Americans need and enjoy, it’s going to hit home for those who are barely making it now. The price of most things we buy is going to increase, but the pay for many will not change.

Nah, the irony here is your ability to read at all.

I actually agree that we are getting screwed with the trade imbalance and we have more leverage than most might believe. Countries like China have a lot more to lose if this thing blows up. The only problem is, if it does blow up, we are going to feel it hard as well. Just because other countries suffer worse doesn’t mean we are coming out the winner. Not in the short term. This whole trade thing is a potential powder keg. I can see Trump being the hero or the next Herbert Hoover.

He should just learn from you and change your argument, right?

Maybe some short term pain, but when those imports increase in price there will be a financial incentive to make those items here. Since we already have more jobs than unemployed, as business expands to meet these new needs upward wage pressure will occur.

the next Herbert Hoover.

This won’t turn out good for us. China has many purchasing options. Soy bean farmers are already feeling the pain - lower prices and canceled orders. US auto manufacturers are next to feel the big pain and it will be passed on to consumers.
