Be interesting to find out how big the crowd was in Akron for the game coming off the Zips monumental and dominant thrashing of perennial G5 "superpower" Marshall last week!!

For your edification, numbnuts, just curious if the "''Zip fan base" was jacked up after their team beat us the week before for the first time in the Joan. Should have been a big deal for them, right? I mean, after all, WE are the ones touting that we are the only G5 school with 3 consecutive 10 win seasons, right?

Marshall was Tommy Bowdens most important game on his sked. He had it circled.

My bet is that Appy State didn't have 5 turnovers (counting the blocked punt as a turn over), all contributing to Akron's scoring or short field opportunities. We beat ourselves....even with the poor DB play.

Appalachian State is no longer in the Southern Conference - the are in and have been since 2014 , the Sun Belt Confrence , a FBS conference just like CUSA but tougher.
