Man, this feels very "heel-ish" to me.

Like I told BC offline, I think this is planting the seeds for a big heel turn. Especially when he loses at EC and goes on a reign of terror.

Worked well for the Rock last year.

Where has @-CarlHungus- Doc Fungus been hiding out? This thread is right up his alley.

You don't suppose he's an illegal alien and fell victim of ICE?

Speaking of wrestling, WWE has been putting some of their older PPVs on YouTube recently and it’s been great.

I had the 1992 Royal Rumble on last night in the background while I was working on a couple things. There will never be another Bobby Heenan.

I haven't watched WWE diligently in some time, but my kids and I did sit down to watch the Rumble and it was a great family night. We all loved it.

Sometimes the celebrity run ins are awful, but that bump Speed took was insane. Props to him for letting them lay one in on him.

So true.

Heenan was amazing.

Can Cena shave his head now?
Or, in Hollywood Hogan style, instead of painting his beard in he could do that with his bald spot.

Not gonna lie, Travis Scott being there really hurt the segment for me and kept it from being as impactful as it could have been, imo. Plus, his attempt to bend Cody in half and then legit punch him was weird.

Some things to remember: Heyman still owes Punk a favor.

Seth caused him to lose the EC and give Cena the win. Punk has beef now and wants his pound of flesh.

Interesting hearing Cena talk about turning heel in 2012

It's comical watching people get so caught up in scripted television.
What a load of self-righteous bullshit. How does being entertained by something equate to being "so caught up" in it? It's no different than watching any other television series or movie and talking about it with friends. And don't say you've never done that because you'd be lying.

so you don't watch anything at all on television? don't go to the theater and watch a movie? hell, even the news is scripted.

i'm not into wrastlin', either, but to chastise it as "scripted television" when you've watched and enjoyed watching plenty of "scripted television" is about as hypocritical as hypocritical gets.

For real. If anything, wrestling is the thing where people ARE hyper aware that it’s scripted. You hear people talking about TV dramas like “I can’t believe XYZ would do that” and nobody bats an eye.

Wrestling has way more people talking about the backstage politics and the like but that stuff exists on, like, SNL just as much. And nobody gives it shit for that (but I guess people would have to watch SNL to notice.)

Exactly. It’s like the sub-plot that adds more interest.

Who do the fans like? Do the writers see the vision and will they get behind some guy and give him a push? When is this guys contract up? Will he defect to another company?
