This man is owed much more than the bullshit $175k cap the state of Oklahoma has in place. Hopefully the state legislature does the right thing by passing a special bill (assuming the have the power to do so) to provide him with a more appropriate amount of compensation. There has also been a GoFundMe campaign established to help fund his current expenses.

How could the judge say he’s innocent? Don’t understand how you reach the conclusion with no new evidence. Did you also declare his alledged accomplice innocent?

It may be more of a formality to make him eligible for compensation.

Exactly. So he is potentially a murderer that is being released on a technicality and given $175,000.

I love when someone picks up the case and is able to dig and find out an innocent person was convicted by proving they didn’t do the crime. That’s not the case here.

Everyone is “potentially a murderer.” This guy wasn’t and can’t be now tried and found guilty in a legal trial.
