Let's see....88 makes comment that people are wrong that "those jobs are not coming back".....I post a simple graph that shows indeed, "those jobs are not coming back"....88 makes asinine comment that has absolutely nothing to do with with the point being refuted...88 again shows he is dumber than a sack of rocks. Just another day on Pullman.

maybe you need to look at your graph again starting with 2016

your own data shows the jobs increasing under Trump (that's 2016 if you forgot). I provided an accurate quote of what Obama said. But you believe what you want to believe.

but the jobs are growing and Obama said they aren't coming back. read slowly and think for a minute.

I also provided you another link if you would like to give trump credit. jartard.

But that’s not what you said moron you said Trump gets credit for 2016, so how is that possible? I know, you’re an idiot

Are you familiar with those reset buttons that Obama and Killery used to be fond of? You have this faux outrage going on over Kaperdick, all things TRUMP, Killary losing, gun control, little league baseball, wrestling moves, and many, many other things.

Do yourself a favor, and hit the reset button. Decent folks like myself will give you a pass, if you'll only return to being a true marine.

Fvck then both I wasn’t a big fan of them either. I’m not a fan of Trump or any political figure for that matter. And fvck you, and fvck the rest of you. I’m going to drink bourbon and watch football all weekend, also fvck your reset button

That’s me and my outlook in life in the 90’s and early 2000’s during my time in the military. How’s that for hitting a reset button? Only thing missing is bitch slapping some squid for looking at me cross eyed for slapping his girl on the ass as she walked by me at the bar

The decorated marine will be fun of if he acts like this at his 20th year high school reunion. The boys at IHS won't put up with that act.

Holy shit, missed this part of your statement. Does this mean we should expect to see you start several "Hey Rifle" threads, asking him for advice on how to raise your children? Stuff like, should I allow my kids to throw a baseball out in the yard? I'm guessing most folks wouldn't ask a single guy with no kids for advice on how to raise kids, but maybe it's the bourbon????

Idk maybe, maybe not. If I need advice on being a racist or an otherwise piece of shit human being should I ask you or 88? Seems as if you’re both experts on the subject

Jesus Holy Christ. Only a simpleton would think this is an Obama v Trump thing. It's not even a economy thing, as far as a strong vs weak economy goes.

Notice I sat the graph parameters to begin in 1980. I did that for a reason. Automation and technology have decreased the number of manufacturing workers needed. A lot of outsourced jobs are for low-value shit we cannot afford to pay Americans to make. It is what it is.

But 1980 is also a great place to start for another reason: the Reagan era is about the end of the period that people remember fondly as when these little towns had places to work and you could graduate high school and get a job at the local factory and do decent. It's a different world now. But that doesn't change the sense of loss in middle America.

We do need to rebuild our metals industry. It is a point of national security. Heavy manufacturing is important. So it the high-tech sector, we cannot depend on Asia for chips and tech parts if the shit hits the fan. This has to be a priority, and if it makes cars cost a couple grand more and smartphones a hundred dollars more, so be it. But the local sock factory ain't coming back.

Also, if you think Trump was in office in 2016 you are dumber than I thought.

So you didn’t look at your own chart nor did you follow the link.

It’s as simple as what Obama said and what has happened since then and what is happening now.

Don’t use logic Rauol it goes clear over his head and yes he did think Trump was in office in 2016 because he really is that dumb.

Hey, I want to go on record of giving Obama all the credit for this current, booming economy we're all enjoying.

I mean, if it weren't for the Kenyan leaving office, we would likely all be fvcked by now.

Job creation per year less under cheetos than obama.

Labor force participation rate lower than when cheetos took office.

Real wages down over the last year.

Debt and deficit up under cheetos.

If only you knew how to support your claims. MORON.

You are one dumb son of a bitch. Obama's comment wasn't about the economy under Obama, it was about how the world has changed. If you looked at the chart you think I didn't look at, you might notice that red line is nowhere near where it used to be. THAT is what he was talking about. And THAT is what I am talking about.

In all fairness, we did experience a spike in the market the very next day following the election and continued to rise throughout the remainder of 2016.

https://www.cnbc.com/2016/11/09/us-markets.html

In all fairness you should read why I began that graph in 1980. It's not a GOP vs DEM, Obama v Trump thing at all.

And in all fairness, if the market drops under Trump through no fault of his own will you be blaming him for it?

It's amazing to me how some people must view everything as Obama vs Trump. Usually these are small-picture people who lack the ability to use logic and reasoning, people like 88.

I've been beating the drum on outsourcing and how to keep American manufacturing strong since the Pat Buchanan and Ross Perot days. But technology is still going to kill a lot of jobs, as it has been doing. There's no way around it. That Braidy Industries planned plant? 600 jobs. 30 years ago that plant would have needed 2000 employees, at least.

Dude, your vag is swole today. Are you saying the market spike the day following the election had nothing to do with Trump?

Keep in mind, I don't care what the fvck you and 88 are arguing about. I was just strolling by, heard the butt end of your argument, and decided to throw in my $0.02 which doesn't necessarily have anything to do with what you two were wrasslin' each other over.

true. When I lived in the Steel Valley the old timers were talking about that even in the 90"s. AI is both a blessing and a curse. They told me of how automation had decreased the need for many of them. All I can say is we must fight for every manufacturing job we can save. Like you I will take 600 but 2000 would have been nice.

No action of his was responsible for it. And I don't consider 1% to be a spike...or to be a drop.

I am just saying I believe POTUS has little to do with the economy as we think of it. W didn't cause the crash.
Politics aside, most Presidents get too much blame for a bad economy and too much credit for a good economy. In the case of Bush and even Carter there were plenty of factors at work that caused the economy to falter during their term in office. Of course they can do things that either help or hurt and I guess that is what all of us argue about on here most of the time.

Train crews over the past 20 years have went from 4,3,2, and I’m some locations are down to 1. You can’t outrun technology

I'm not looking to blame...just saying your boy was incorrect and they are coming back. heck, they even came back some under O before the Trump effect
