Truth be told I should wait until after the 4th or 5th game to do this due to sample size and quality of opponents (we've played 2 very easy opponents and ECU has played 2 pretty good teams) but oh, what the heck...
As you can tell by the rankings, this isn't your Uncle Skip or your Uncle Ruffin's Pirates.
I'm still waiting to see what our identity is going to be offensively. Are we leaning so heavy on the passing game right now because we don't trust the offensive line to run block effectively? Because we saw how badly we struggled against better defenses down the stretch last year and we want to make meaningful gains NOW? We just like our QB & weapons so much that this is our best shot to be successful offensively? The passing matchup vs. Navy & NCCU's secondary was just too enticing to pass up (no pun intended)? We're not sure how our defense is going to hold up against better offenses (UTSA, WKU, UAB) so we believe we're going to be in some shoot-outs? All of the above?
