Two solid defenses and two offenses that have struggled the past three games - Louisiana with 18 ppg vs. Rice, ULM, and South Alabama.
Rice, ULM and South Alabama are combined giving up about 31 ppg on the season in the games not including Louisiana.
Defenses are pretty similar, both play the run pretty well and have had success vs. the pass although our numbers are skewed a bit with 40% of our games being against Norfolk St and Gardner-Webb. Louisiana did play SE Louisiana to start the year and it was a 10 point game until 1:37 left the in the 4th quarter when Louisiana got a touchdown pass to give them the 24-7 final.
This team is obviously A LOT less competitive than the past few seasons and I'm not sure they're the worst team in the West, but they're in the conversation unless something really clicks with the offense. Similar to us, they have played two QBs (looks like playing time has almost been 50/50) with neither really able to provide the needed spark (sound familiar?)
