Finally!! Herd wins 1-0 in 2nd OT. UAB keep everyone back. Herd out shot them 27-0……

…..I guess this sets some kind of a record? When has a conference opponent ever not taken even one shot on goal!!??? One! Were they playing for a 0-0? Incredible. I’ll bet there was some thunder in the stands when the ball went into the net!! Go HERD!

Grassie said after the game that teams are now playing for a tie against them vs trying to win. In conference, a tie earns you a point. They know they are outmatched and a tie is a win.

UK did the same thing. UAB kept everyone back and never mounted an attack to the goal.
Pretty sad really that teams do this.
