After watching the football game, I watched the replay of the basketball game. After recovering from a bout with vertigo from the camera work (don't they use tripods?), I understand that this season will certainly be a work in progress. With that said, I think the over/under for wins will be 10. Unfortunately, I'm leaning towards the under. Please don't crucify me, it's only my opinion.

10?

Remember, one, that the non-conference schedule is garbage. and, two, half of the SBC, a conference made up of teams wanting to play football at a particular level, have a nominal effort at MBB. There are many automatic Ws out there.

The token efforters will easily finish at .500, which is CS' goal in laying out this venture.

Sad to see that less than 4,000 showed up. Marshall basketball seems pretty much dead at this point.

Had a chance to really capitalize on the 18-19 seasons but got complacent and that went away.

Both B'ball programs have been average for decades, the women's program actually pretty bad. Take out the womens season last year and mens 18-19 years, it's not pretty for the most part. MH didn't invest much in basketball and currently the new hires aren't great. It is what it is.

Danny boy left the program pretty much “dead in the water” and it may take the new staff a while to get it back to respectability, if ever. Part of the price MU must pay for letting Danny stay around 3 or 4 years too long!

Not entirely true...the portal can rebuild a team in a season.
But also can lose a team in a season.

Coach Caldwell showed how quickly a good hire can turn things around as well...
...and if we are to...for goodness sake I can't believe I am saying this...believe Goddamn Sam, the rest of the SBC isn't as invested in basketball as MU could be.
