NASSAU, Bahamas – The Marshall men’s basketball team is set to begin their tour of the Bahamas this week. The trip features three exhibition contests, the first of which takes place on Saturday.

The Herd’s first game will feature a contest against the Atlantis All-Stars. That contest is slated for a 5:00 p.m., tip-off. The team will have an off day on Sunday, then resume game action on Monday. Marshall will take on Team NBPA in that contest at 5:30 p.m.

The Herd will have another off day on Tuesday and return to the court for a final time on Wednesday, Aug. 15, to take on the Providence Storm, which begins at 6:00 p.m.

All games will be played at Sir Kendall Issacs Gym in Nassau.

While there will be no livestream of the games available, fans can find highlights of the contests on Twitter, by following Marshall Men’s Basketball, and through the Marshall Athletics YouTube account.

During its off days, the team will head to the Melia Nassau Beach Resort where they can experience the local culture and other team activities.

This will be the first game action for the 2018-19 Herd squad. Following their second-consecutive 20+ win season and a trip to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 33 years, the Herd returns four starters and three letterwinners, which represents 77% of its overall scoring from last year. It will also serve as the debut of Marshall’s six newcomers, including 6-10 center Iran Bennett, who sat out last season.

Marshall is slated to return home to Huntington on Aug. 17.
