Why is David Early not seeing any action this year? He’s one of our best shooters and a solid defender.
I saw Campbell last Friday at Cameron. They have average talent but are a very good “team”.
Well coached they make you play defense for the entire shot clock unless they get a wide open look or back door a lay up. Play a five guard lineup. Duke fell behind early but once they ramped up the pressure the game turned. Campbell played a nice and gave Duke a battle. They are the kind of team high seeds see in the first round. Marshall can still win this, keep defending and hit open shots. Sounds easy.

Defensive rotation off of screens is awful. And fvck dook. I hope coach k loses every game this season.

They played awful in the 1st half. Better in the 2nd but still shot 3-23 from 3. Hard to make up for that.
George and Killen played great. Rest of the team was very bad. Taylor and Kinsey combined 10-30.

Miladinovic is flat bad... How can you be a liability on both ends at 7 feet tall playing guys shorter than you?
Seranic is also not good... Couldn't guard my mom and the 5th option on offense when he's on the floor.

Lots of questions about this team, but the biggest one (besides they can't consistently shoot) is why didn't Early play..... This seems like a team he would match up well with. I know some have sad he is in Danny's doghouse....if that is the case then he should of never got off the bench in the first two games.

Big mistake playing Campbell on a Thursday night. You have to schedule the Fighting Camels on a Wednesday.
Again, Beyers and Goran have no business starting. Sit them and start Oak. Danny screwed up. He needs to wake ownership at some point and quit blaming our poor shooting, facilities, AD against him, etc. George took the bullets for the kids in the paper this morning.
OAK is our best big man by a mile... He was the best player on the floor last night for most of the game. High-end defender and can contribute on offense. Danny has to get him more minutes one way or another, even if he doesn't "start" (to buy a few minutes with no fouls in each half) he has to be out there more.
I also like what I saw from Toussaint... He needs to learn to play more aware help defense and use his feet, but the raw skills are there.

Few years ago, I got belittled on here because I dared compare DD and Doc in terms of their coaching trajectories.
The only thing Dan had going for him was his relationship with the media, but now it seems people are seeing through his BS.

DD talks a good game. Lots of buzz words. He is a charming guy. Know what the old timers in Huntington want to hear.
But that is really all there is. It is just not getting accomplished.

#1 - way too early to be performing a eulogy for this season. We’ve played 3 games! You aren’t accounting for our 8 day “hot streak” coming up in March, where “anything could happen.”
#2 - too early for you to be back on the board posting. Your usual is Tuesdays. I guess that hard on you have for DD overwhelmed you?
I’m in no way writing a “eulogy” for the season. We both agree that the team will win over 20 games.
I’m just sensing a different vibe this year. Most of the fan base, here and elsewhere, and the media seem to have tired of the catch phrases, the stubborn unwillingness to adapt the play style, and the inconsistent results.
Anything under 20 wins with this schedule is below par.
People wrote off Huff after MTSU, and now MU has a shot for the division title so I get what you're saying.
However, Dan's been at the helm for a while and since the NCAA tournament win, MU hasn't come close to the success of that season.
Leaving out the non-conference schedule, which we have discussed, CUSA looks weaker than ever this year, at least early.
ODU was assreamed by 41 points. WKU tried to hold with the big teams, and couldn’t. UNCC has an ambitious schedule and we will see.
