Air traffic control will soon go the way of the dodo due to ai. This is pilot error plane and simple. There will absolutely be changes in flight rules due to this crash.

Passenger Jet was in full contact with ATC and had followed their instructions and flight path. The Black hawk was not where it was supposed to be as it was supposed to hold and go behind the plane.
There was another plane that had just taken off. I am wondering if the Blackhawk was watching that plane and lost track of the incoming plane or did not see it because it was focusing on the out going plane????

Didn't see the tweet but I also thought Trump did a poor job with his tweet last night. There's a time and place to cast blame. It's not when they are still pulling people out of the river. That goes for Trump or anyone else throwing stones right now.

Yes, it's tacky given the timing. He's implying that someone made an error, be it the pilots or the controllers. Regardless, there is a time and a place and last night wasn't it. A person with any tact would have expressed concern and condolences along with reassuring the American public that there would be a full investigation with the goal of preventing something like this from ever happening again.

yeah, he could have tweeted something like, “I have been fully briefed on the terrible accident which just took place at Reagan National Airport. May God Bless their souls. Thank you for the incredible work being done by our first responders. I am monitoring the situation and will provide more details as they arise.”

I didn’t see his first tweet. I’m glad he made it and it helps. I apologize for overlooking it.
Doesn’t change my opinion that he should have held off on any other tweets.
And for what it’s worth, I’ve criticized Biden many times, including on here. He should have never ran a second time, his age and acuity were rabidly diminishing. He stole an opportunity for a the public to vet a nominee. He was soft on immigration until the end and that cost the Democrats the election in my opinion. He jumped the gun on some of his early executive actions. Etc.
I see politicians as the flawed humans they are.
