The evidence is now shown. This is not hearsay, not fake news, not unsourced leaks. This is an email chain released by Donald Trump Jr. himself. A British go-between writes that there’s a Russian government effort to help Trump Sr. win the election, and as part of that effort he proposes a meeting with a “Russian government attorney” possessing damaging information on Hillary Clinton. Moreover, the Kremlin is willing to share troves of incriminating documents from the Crown Prosecutor. (Error: Britain has a Crown Prosecutor. Russia has a Prosecutor General.)

Donald Jr. emails back. “I love it.” Fatal words.

Once you’ve said “I’m in,” it makes no difference that the meeting was a bust, that the intermediary brought no such goods. What matters is what Donald Jr. thought going into the meeting, as well as Jared Kushner and then-campaign manager Paul Manafort, who were forwarded the correspondence, invited to the meeting, and attended.

Nice opinion piece.

Guy calls you up and says he's thinking of robbing a bank, wants to know if you want to see his plans. You say sure, I want to hear about this. Guy shows up, doesn't have a plan, no bank robbery ever takes place.

Please tell me what crime you committed and what your punishment should be.

Now imagine that the police had put the guy up to calling you and then tried to arrest you for conspiracy to commit bank robbery. What would that be called?

So you think that somebody on the left had the Russian arrange the meeting to try and frame cheeto's campaign for conspiring with the Russians?! Christ. I'm hoping this isn't the real Banker.

Not as far fetched as you would like to act. Why would the attorney want a meeting to give info when she really didn't have any? Why was her visa rejected only to be granted access into the country directly by Lorreta Lynch? These are things you should want to know the answer to.

.

Why would anyone believe cheeto junior about what was said in the meeting when he initially lied about it, only to then come clean after he found out media had the emails?

But this time he is being honest, right?

Oh, and this meeting did become the basis for the FISA order that allowed for the tapping of Manafort's phone. Without the meeting they couldn't have gotten the FISA Court to grant the wire tap.

And the media didn't have the emails until he released them, which, unlike Hillary, didn't take years and have half of them deleted.

They were going to publish what they were told was the content of the emails. They did not have the emails. He quickly released them so that he was sure the correct info was out there and not whatever fake news the NYT was going to run.

Interesting example. Where did you meet? If you met at the bank to plan a robbery only to be told there was no plan, arguably you have still committed conspiracy to rob the bank, because you took a step to conspire to do so.

Come on, Raoul. There's no way anyone doesn't take a meeting where someone offers you info that will cast your opponent in a bad light. Hell, it appears the DNC actually paid to have that kind of information prepared for them.

Knowing that no one would turn down that meeting, and then knowing that that meeting became the basis for the FISA warrant, and also knowing that the attorney didn't have any info in the first place sure does make it seem like someone offered up this juicy meeting as just a way to be able to get the wire taps.

Meeting takes place at the Trump Tower.

Meeting takes place at the Trump Tower.

Given the amount of Russian mob money tied up in that building, it probably wasn't the best place lol. But you still used a poor example given how federal conspiracy laws work. You missed my recent explanation of that concerning drug prosecutions. Believe me, anything can be a conspiracy.

Not that anything will come of this Russia stuff. It won't. It's a hell of a distraction to the GOP agenda, which is the real reason I bet privately a lot of Republicans on Capitol Hill wish he wasn't President.

It's beyond a stretch to think this is a Democrat conspiracy. First, they never thought they would lose. Second, this shit would have leaked the day they knew. Third, forget the other two, it wouldn't just now be coming out.

Go ahead and call it flimsy shit. Say no laws were broken (and I am not convinced any were.). But you are too smart to fall for this vast Democrat conspiracy bullshit.

He should only fall for your hourly biased conspiracy theories.

Well, we both know we will never know the real truth. As with most things in Washington, both sides are probably dirty so the truth serves neither side. However, if it is true that this woman was denied entry and only allowed in the country under the direction of Loretta Lynch then that's a very bad look. If it's additionally true that you put that she was working for that Fusion company, that is a known DNC dirt digger, on her application then it is an extremely bad look. If it turns out to be true that the meeting in question was a key event in the DOJ being granted the FISA court approval for the wiretap, well, it is a democratic conspiracy.

With the way you can't trust any news source anymore, who really knows, but all three of those items should be verifiable if they are true.

seriously, where do you hear such crap. do you not watch any news or
read any newspapers.

the biggest problem this country has is that 20% of the country is just pure nuts.

it's time the sane 80% ignore the nutty 20% and just move on without you.
there is no point in trying to convince you that the sky really is blue.

never argue with a fool, just let a fool go on being a fool.

This is just irony piled upon irony. Too bad it wasn't typed in all caps.
