MU-BGSU to be televised

We rarely play well up there but let's roll the ice!
Yea it's never fun. I don't every agree with Landon, but after our last trip in 2010 he said Marshall should never agree to travel back to Doyt Perry Stadium.

I understand our history there. I was at the last 2 games. But they are pretty bad. We lose that one, we got big problems.
Yeaaaa....but.... In 1998 they finished 5-6 on the season and were 2-5 when we lost to them. In 2010 they finished finished 2-10. It's not the team. It's that soul sucking stadium evidently. Really wish we weren't playing there.

Whenever I think we have it bad in terms of fan support, I always think of my two trips to Middle... I've been to 2A high school games with more people in the stands.
Yeah. There were definitely a lot of FAN (sic) in the stands at Middle and UAB.... oh, and nearly anywhere else in C-OMA.

NFL Network references have now been removed from the BGSU website. Apparently talks between ESPN and NFLN over sub-licensing games this year are not yet complete. If game isn’t on NFLN, it will be on ESPN+/

So, how does this relate to Conference USA?
Has Judy spoken about network deals?

I'm hearing CUSA is close to being broadcast nationwide on those gas pump TV's on all the local gas stations.

Goddamn Sam, you're our CUSA guy, whats going on?

Maybe that's all part of their strategy...
Make the stadium so depressingly awful that your willingness to even live (forget winning) is sucked right from you.

Akin to Iowa's pink locker room for visitors, except BGSU prides themselves and says, "We know nobody watches us. Our team is terrible. BG, ohio is terrible. This stadium is terrible. Welcome to Hell."

Pink locker room?

Perhaps we should taunt visitors with pictures of methheads from downtown plastered all over the locker room walls.

Then they can taunt us right back with pictures of skinny chicks - something rarely seen in West Virginia.

You, aren't aware of their locker rooms?
Its a pretty well known part of Iowa's football program. The visitor locker rooms are pink as a method (I believe) to zap energy from players as the color somehow does that.

As for the latter half of your post, not nearly as many fat people in the area as you'd think, especially during the year.

And apparently ESPN has reached a deal with the NFL Network to sublicense the MAC games and the BGSU game will be on that channel.

More importantly in the press release is that ESPN is also sublicensing Sun Belt games to NFL Network as well, starting with Eastern Michigan @ Louisiana. (In college sports the home team’s conference is the one whose TV contract applies, so this is a SBC game). Which could mean some number of future MU games might be on NFLN as well.

Yup.

The origin comes from former coach Haden Fry. Fry earned a Master's degree in psychology as a student at Baylor University, and legend has it he read that pink can have a calming effect on a person. When he started coaching at Iowa in 1979, he ordered the walls in the visiting room to be pink.
