My take on the debate

I had a screaming headache before it began. Had I watched the buffoon and liar screech at each other for 2 hours I might I nibbled on my Glock. That being said, I did DVR it so I'll watch when I'm in a better frame of mind.

The buffoon and liar got beat up by a girl.

rest my case - game over!

Dherd must not have gotten the talking points from the media yet. Keep resting your case....it's worked well for Hillary so far.

The same girl who said he was mean to Barack and said bad things about girls.

Boo Hoo.

Heres my question - with all the sh*t you could legitimately attack trump on, why did she choose these two to spend most of her ammo? I dont think the majority of people give a sh*t about the birther thing at this point, and the "mean to women" thing carries no weight coming from her. Was that a spur of the moment thing or did her advisors actually coach her to do that?

Nothing about Hillary is spur of the moment. She cant take a dump unless she rehearses in advance.

I thought it was interesting after the debate when Trump was talking to Hannity and was asked about the last attack by Clinton. Trump's answer was, look, there was a lot I could have said given the history of her and her husband, but for all I know Bill was sitting with their daughter watching the debate and that just wouldn't have been the right thing to do.

At the end of the day, there is a moral difference between Trump and Clinton. He's a egotistical prick, but he at least still has a shred of humanity. Hillary would eat a live baby in front of its mother to gain power.

My only other thought is Hillary's ever-present smirk and over-the-top reactions can't be helping her. She comes across as an incredible b*tch, probably because she is. You'd think her handlers would tone that down.

I thought the first 15-20 minutes were good. The rest was garbage. Trump fell for all of her little traps and got wrapped up defending his ego. She was typical robot that likely had the questions 2 weeks ago. Holt was terrible. He let them talk over each other and stray from his questions. He also asked Trump about the f'g birther issues....move on already. Same with the Iraq War. He went at him about comments on her looks and about taxes. He completed butchered the "Stop and Frisk" being unconstitutional. Never brought up emails, Benghazi, Pay for Play, refugees, or deplorables with her. An "independent" stat site said Holt interrupted Trump 30 times to her 19. He "fact checked Trump 3 times to 0 for her despite her being completely wrong about the murder rate in NY being up and denying TPP.

Things people care about:
Economy
Immigration/refugees
Boarders
Security/ISIS
Healthcare
Education
Race relations

Things people DGAF about:
Who was for or against the Iraq war
What Trump said about contestants in a beauty pageant
Trump's taxes (we all know he didn't pay much if anything)
The birther crap

He said he wasnt going to go after Bill and Hillary with their side peices because Chelsea was there. Chelseas real father wasnt in the audience last night so it should have been fair play.

The big bad bully boy got beat over the head repeatedly by a woman with a policy stick, the ONLY reason be didn't bring up bills sex affairs is because his staff knows that will cost him votes, and yeah, lots of people still want to see that tax return. Including a majority of both republicans and independents.

The thing about these polls is they all have several k's voters too (much more than the traditional political polls). Ouch.

over 800,000 for the two big ones. even the smallest sample was over 10,000. compare that to the 800-1,500 poll sample size...

Republican pollster Frank Luntz conducted a focus group of undecided voters in Pennsylvania. Sixteen said Hillary Clinton won. Five picked Trump
In a Florida focus group organized by CNN, 18 of 20 undecided voters picked Clinton as the winner.
Not one of 29 undecided voters in an Ohio focus group organized by Park Street Strategies thought Trump prevailed, while 11 picked Clinton and the rest said neither.
In a separate instant-poll from the Democratic firm Public Policy Polling, 51 percent said Clinton won and 40 percent picked Trump.
Eight in 10 insiders in the key battleground states thought Clinton performed better, including 57 percent of Republicans, according to the Politico Caucus survey.
“I'm not positive Hillary actually won the debate. But I'm sure Trump lost it. He choked,” writes Weekly Standard Editor Bill Kristol.
“He was exciting but embarrassingly undisciplined,” writes New York Post conservative columnist John Podhoretz.
As Dana Milbank writes, “Trump ostentatiously avoided preparation — playing the proverbial high school slacker drinking beer behind the bleachers while the teacher’s pet was in the library. But Monday night was the revenge of the nerd.”
From the chief strategist of Mitt Romney’s 2012 campaign: Trump brought 20 minutes of material to a 90 minute show.
From the chief strategist of John Kasich’s 2016 campaign:I have never seen a more unprepared candidate in a major moment.
From Jeb Bush’s 2016 communications director:Just want to throw out that Donald said rooting for the housing crisis was "good business" tonight
From a Republican foreign policy hand who helped prepare Mitt Romney for the 2012 debates:Clinton did something tonight that no journo has been able to do: surgically take him apart on his tax returns. She explained why it matters
This prompted one GOP operative – a former communications director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee – to tweet:True story - my Dad's company was stiffed by Trump on a six figure telecom job in the 1980's. Trump told them it would cost more to sue him.
But the night was Clinton’s. http://www.theatlantic.com/liveblogs/2016/09/first-presidential-debate-clinton-trump-2016/501647/

Greed posting quotes from Repub establishment types who have never supported Trump, have openly campaigned for him to lose, and.......have been wrong every step of the process.

Greeds response to over a million people saying Trump won... A handful of individual media types and establishment talking heads saying he didn't...

It was kind of a letdown. Still better than if someone else was there for the GOP, but he held back. This was it. The Super Bowl. You bring the house here. I don't know if he's spent or just heard too many idiots telling him to be nice. He wasn't real nice, but nicer than he should have been.

Oh well, that was it. Kind of a whimpering sendoff for us dinosaurs. Now they'll have a couple more debates nobody will care about, Hillary will still win on the demographics, and we'll go on as we are now. I'll be all right and the bums will still be screaming on TV that they don't have enough despite being 4 times my weight in fat rolls and Reese cups.

online polls are very unreliable
half of trumps votes could come from other countries

Procedurally pundits will say that Hillary won the debate for composure etc. Technically thats the case. HOWEVER when everyone is pissed off at the establishment and there is a large movement under way, those is the movement arent really interested in being nice or looking presidential which the polls show. Hillary lost the debate based on her bad experience and lack of accomplishment and her championing the status quo.
