Actually I’ve never believed debt would be eliminated or that it can ever be “paid off” literally. In fact, without the “debt”...there would be no US Treasury market, and ultimately no US currency.

Do I believe there will be a day of reckoning due to national debt (currency)? Probably. (Another discussion for another time)

Do I believe there will be a day of reckoning due to national debt (currency)? Probably. (Another discussion for another time)

There would be no fiat currency...and there can be fiat currency with short term borrowing...but that as well is another discussion.

The day of reckoning is coming sooner rather than later.
