Who blew out La Tech 52 to 38 and who we owe one after losing the CUSA championship to them last year in the Joan.

Hopefully the fans don’t let the team down. We need folks to show up.

After a 4 game winning steak, first place in the east, 75 week, and a quality opponent, I really hope the crowd shows up for this game. No excuse not to have 30,000 for this game.

Don‘t let me down.
When’s the last time we had anywhere remotely close to 30k. Crowd needs to show up and be loud period. It would be great to get 30 but a legit 25 would be best bet imo.

Maybe Marshall needs to crank up the marketing machine. Lol!

They do have a promo going on that if you buy tickets to the UAB game and we win, you get the same tickets to the WKU game for free.

I think the promo code is HERD WINS

I can’t wait to hear DJ Herd that, the band, cheerleaders snd the PA all playing, talking at the same time. Good stuff. I’ll be selling. Adderall before the game at Gate 4.

well.....if it were only listening to fans it would be pretty darn quiet

As for a big crowd we’ll it’s a 3:30 kickoff and long range early forecast calls for temps in the upper 40s so don’t count on too many “senior” fans as the game will go into darkness and as for the students ?

Cold weather? The perfect game for some tasty hot Dr. Pepper!! Try it, you’ll like it! The perfect mixer for the tailgate & the 4th quarter….

Possibly a very, very MAJOR Factor: How many Huntington area schools, also Putnam and Kanawha County schools, have teams in the State High School playoffs this week with a game or games scheduled for Saturday?

To a lesser extent, same applies to "nearby" or area schools in Ohio and Kentucky!

The regular season East champ is going to come down to that final home game of the year, against WKU, winners of four straight. (assuming the Herd doesn't lose both of the next two)

In the WVSSAC, the home team sets the field, and the away team picks the time. Hurricane is playing AT Jefferson, the furthest east school in the state. 342 miles away. I doubt that very much more than parents and cheerleaders are making that trip. MU is not losing fans because the Redskins are playing in the DC suburbs.

If a person, who is not a parent of a player, thinks for a millisecond about attending a HS game over the Herd, they are simply not a fan.

Agree with Sam here. There are really no games that will possibly affect attendance outside of Bluefield at Point Pleasant, and that was Bluefield's choice (a good choice for their team). I can't imagine more than a couple hundred fans would be affected because of immediate family playing for Point. My dad goes to most of the Point games and all of the playoff games, but he is choosing UAB and Marshall this Saturday. Easy choice.

..................here imo Coach Huff has the opportunity to call out the fan base & say: "Hey - you wanted an exciting product on the field, & you got it. You wanted a winning season, and you got it. And, you have a quality conference opponent coming into Huntington that we owe from last year. It's time for the fringe crowd to show up!!"

tentatively Princeton at Spring Valley is moved to 1:30 Saturday. Transportation issues for Princeton on Friday.

Undefeated MU drew 24k+ for ECU on a perfect sept evening. We have never outdrawn the top Sept crowd in Nov, and we won’t this year with weather in the 40’s. The ticket promo is the best marketing idea of the year and may get the crowd back up to that level. But the 21-24k that show up will probably be loud & engaged, that’s what matters.
