Defiantly NHR. The regular NIT had an automatic bid deal, a loser of a conference tournament who won their league was in the NIT. This, of course, applies to one-bid leagues like CUSA. That is eliminated, meaning the NIT, AKA ESPN, will simply take 16 major conference losing teams to Dallas for some made for TV filler programming.
