One was in a firefight when they got ambushed on a convert mission He was killed. They went back and got his body and got him out within 48 hours. You realize that happens sometimes during an ambush?
The other, Begnhazi, was an hours long attack where they requested support for days prior. Knowing the embassy grounds were vulnerable. Then, when attacked the supporting elements were told to stand down, and the leaders all the way to DC were in communication and continue to deny support. Then, after they said a video caused the attack on an embassy grounds?
Are you really that dense you don't know the difference between an sudden ambush and a embassy ground that was attacked?

Benghazi was not an embassy.
Spec Ops does pretty much the same thing as CIA ops, with the difference being CIA sometimes does things of questionable legality...which should tell you all you need to know about how Benghazi was handled.

Benghazi was embassy "property". Embassy's don't just have on property. There is a whole lot of shit taken into account. It was under State Dept domain and operation. Where there is an embassy there are other locations. I will just leave it at that. Hence why I said embassy. State Dept has a lot of f'ing power with the military and other wise to protect those assets, people, and so on. There is a lot of planning and things that go on.

I insisted on nothing. I know what happened. It's not as nefarious as some want it to be, it's not as innocent either. It was a gun running op that went bad. The WH shit itself the night of the attack, that's why there were conflicting stories. Our gov was stuck between a rock and the media and there were no real answers they could give. I never gave credence to all the investigations because I knew they'd go no where. We do illegal shit every single day, you just don't hear about it because the ones doing it usually don't die. It's really that simple.

Oh lord. I am familiar with how embassies and consulates operate. And I know about DSS, hell they even have ops guys. A consulate is like a branch office. Normally it is a place for locals to apply for visas and such. It's not the hub of diplomatic staff and action. That's plenty OK in most places in the world, but in a shithole it's going to be a softer target than the actual goddamn main embassy. It just is what it is. Ambassador Stevens should not have even been there in that environment. But hey, he had to meet with some Turks. Why would the Turks be in shithole Benghazi? If you don't believe he was running guns with the CIA I have a bridge to sell you. Collecting weapons after a conflict is a good thing...but we know where those weapons went. And that's why the response and lies always made sense to me, and don't bother me one bit. We got caught with our dicks out doing some dirty work, and no POTUS is going to blow that cover (preparing for proxy war against frigging Russia) by sending in the cavalry. And damn straight we lied about it. If you want to argue the entire deal going down there was a fvck up, I am all ears and would probably agree, but that's just how we do shit.
Now this Niger thing is a different ballgame. Of course we are not going to tell all the details, but at least it is a legal operation. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump doesn't even really know what we are doing there. "Fighting terrorists" is good enough for him. Obama was more hands on, signing off on individual drone strikes. That's why I think Trump took over a week to even say anything.
