OK. What do you suggest?
1)Do nothing. Let them get a longer range Nuke if not now then down the road
2)Work with the Chinese to pressure them so a war does not happen.
3)Strike first and take him out, perhaps inciting China and Russian to join a ground based war leading tho thousands of US service members deaths and a humanitarian crisis which we haven't seen perhaps since WW2.
4)Kick the can down the road.
Finally, there are no good answers. When the politicians and military leaders say there are no good options, then they are right for once. There are no good options.

A lot of Americans are arrogant about one big thing: they think we can tell the rest of the world what to do. It doesn't work that way. There has not been an easy answer to anything on the Korean Peninsula for decades, it's not like they just now stacked all the artillery and conventional forces on the DMZ.

No, but I imagine you can see the hypocrisy that NK probably tells their citizens. I bet they say why do we have to listen to a country that has the second largest stockpile of nuclear weapons, and oh yeah that country also is the only country to ever use one of them. It's a terrible situation, but I also don't want us to initiate or do a preemptive strike and start a war. I don't have a solution, but I don't want an unstable person making this decision, and that's what we have in office right now.

i don't think we're going to get to that point. but to be honest, had Hillary won I think he'd be doing the exact same things he's doing now.
First thing I'd do is try to find out what Kim actually expects to gain from all the rhetoric. What is it that he actually wants? Wonder if anyone has actually asked that question.
