Northern Iowa choosing not to play at Marshall

Game was scheduled for Dec. 19 in Huntington. Marshall is actively searching for a replacement game for next weekend.

To be clear, they’ve got injuries and COVID. Sounds like their coach thinks they need time to regroup ahead of conference season.

Hopefully they will play in Huntington next year.

Unfortunately, UK is playing UCLA on that day.

They will be here next year. As of now our OOC home schedule includes UNI, Duquesne and Wright State.

If we can continue our series with Ohio, Toledo and Akron, Herdmeister, that would be a pretty attractive OOC schedule not even considering any "Major" teams we might play (hopefully we can get some games with this year's cancelled "bigs", UK, Va Tech and Xavier).

We play Akron next year. This is year 1 of a 4 year Toledo deal and year 1 of a 2 year Ohio deal
