A kid I recruited as a preferred walk-on at Abilene Christian just won the D3 national championship as the starting quarterback by beating Mount Union.
The QBs (and other position players) I have recruited or coached have had a shit load of success.
2012: QB signed by the Denver Broncos. I wasn't his real position coach, but just a QC who worked with the quarterbacks, so I don't take much credit for this.
2013-2015: My starting QB led the country in pass efficiency, was named the conference player of the year on offense, and signed a CFL contract. My backup QB, whom I recruited and coached for two years, just finished his rookie season in the CFL. These are kids who weren't recruited by anyone, hence why they were at an FCS/HBCU, yet are winning conference player of the year, leading the country in major stats, and signing CFL contracts.
2016: My starting QB, as a first-year starter, finished in the top 10 in the country in passing yards per game, total offense per game, TD/INT ratio, and completions per game. The following year under a different staff, even though the offense returned 21 of 22 on the two-deep, he had a very average year and was dismissed from the team with two games left. My backup QB, whom I recruited and coached for a year, just finished his sophomore year. He finished in the top 12 in the country in total passing yards, passing yards per game, completion percentage, and completions per game. Another QB who I recruited as a preferred walk-on and coached for a year just won the D3 national championship as the starting QB.
2017: One of my starting OLBs signed with the Seattle Seahawks. My other starting OLB was named all-conference and still has another year left of eligibility.
And I'm better at recruiting and coaching special teams than any of the above. I have to stop now. My back has bruises on it from so many pats.
