I think it is safe to assume the original comparison was based on Patriots players. The publication didn't care if the assistant to the assistant equipment manager made the trip or not. So, even though the total travel party was slightly lower this year, the real substance deals with the players. A far lower percent of players chose to come this year. That's the point. The Patriots have acknowledged as much about the lower amount of players.

now quick, post 8 paragraphs about context clues, implied context, reading comprehension, and IQ's.

out of all the bullshit you've posted on this board... this takes the cake.......

Your political ideology is forcing you to look dumber than usual.

What has been the story about this for the weeks leading up to it? It has been around the players who have publicly stated that they wouldn't accept the invite because of cheeto. Nobody has given a shit about staffers. Nobody has reported on them accepting or declining the invite. The entire topic centered around what Patriots players would or wouldn't show up.

Holding true to the stories leading up to it, the Times showed a picture reflecting this. The Patriots admitted as much, but then said the total travel party including staffers was nearly as much as the last time. Nobody gives a shit if the assistant to the assistant equipment manager accepted or declined. That is why it was never reported on leading up to the event; only the reaction of players.
