I read that the suspect was in his early 40s, state records showed him making more than $90,000/year (which is a nice life where he lives), and had been principal at that school for many years.
It's odd that he lived in that area. His school is a very small town (less than 900 people) about 30 minutes away. Most of those people are insular and live/work in that area. He could have gone 10-15 minutes away and lived in some really cool lake towns in a winery/resort area.
