Anybody watch the recent round of interviews Obama did where he addressed the ongoing situation where the government had to ask Hillary Clinton for a whole bunch of secret information back cause she was keeping it at her house (aka the email fiasco)?
According to the NYTimes, Obama said he doesn't think Democrat Presidential front-runner Hillary would do anything to "intentionally" endanger, but "that there's a carelessness in terms of managing emails." I can only speak from my own time working on DoD projects, but it would only take one instance of someone being "careless" with information for them to lose their job & probably their clearance (or worse.) Hillary not only seems to think it's not a big deal, but she genuinely seems surprised it's an issue at all.
Which isn't surprising considering Obama is going around making comments such as, "There's classified, & then there's classified." He goes on, "There's stuff that is really top-secret top-secret, & there's stuff that is being presented to the president or the secretary of state that you might not want on the transom, or going out over the wire, but is basically stuff that you could get in open-source." You know, sure some of it's bad to get out, but not all, so he's cool with it. I'm sure the administration would be cool if Snowden presented that as his defense.
What I also can't believe but sadly, history has shown to be the case, the White House is keeping to the narrative that they're keeping informed on this by watching the news. No wonder they don't think it's serious, the news hasn't told them otherwise.
