Due to Covid 19. Happening more and more and other schools dropping sports - Cincinnati, Stanford, eliminated baseball. Doubt we ever see our baseball facility.

Sorry. Cincinnati dropped soccer and Stanford 11 sports including volleyball. Guys if the bigs are struggling financially it’s coming here as well. Don’t kid yourself.

Stanford is NOT a poor, paycheck to paycheck (budget to budget), university... Them dropping 11 sports is a bad sign.

I googled Stanford and how much they have as an endowment. It says 27.7 billion.Not sure why they are doing this.By the way it said ours was 129.4 million

Stanford is using Covid as a convenient excuse to drop nonprofitable sports. They likely don't need to, but also didn't want to keep them around anyway.

That’s not how endowments work. It’s not a contribution to the athletic budget. The hard part to figure out is they emphatically said even if alumni donors stepped in the decision is final

Again, not quite an accurate picture. Stanford is dropping men's volleyball. They are keeping women's volleyball which is probably the best volleyball program in the country historically.
