Opponent Football Schedule

Saw the Ohio U. 2015 football schedule in today's HD. First thing I noted was that their first game is on a Thursday, Sept. 3, at Idaho, which means they have 9 days before they host the Herd on September 12. Meanwhile, we will be playing them on a "short week", since we play Purdue on Sunday, September 6.

The other thing striking about the Bobcats schedule is that they have NO SATURDAY games in the month of November. Yes, thanks to the MAC's TV package with the ESPN networks, OU's November games are on a Wednesday followed by 3 straight Tuesday (night) games.

Just wondering how many HERD fans would be willing to trade the CUSA TV package with the MAC package knowing the HERD would face 4 mid week games in November? My guess is not too many!!

From looking at this schedule, at least 2 things should be clear: We are OU's Super Bowl, and the MAC sucks.

call it a rivalry, an emotional, git-up game, it doesn't matter. bottom line is we certainly haven't owned them lately and they haven't really owned us. say what you want, but the top teams in any of the G5, any given year are basically equal. And, OU (Solich and supporters) in particular, have been lock-step solid the past several yrs, including, when we were bad (but i think it's our decade to dominate again). certainly, the Herd would be glad for a chance to whip they're arses any day of the week, on any field!

Solich hates our guts and it will be a huge game for them. We should win but we thought that the past 4 years. As to our much ballyhooed TV package - I don't consider computer streaming being on TV, nor having to buy a souped up package from Cable or Direct TV.. As to week night games - maybe once a year, but not 4 times like that. Yuk.

The MAC Commissioner signed the deal with ESPN without showing it to the ADs. This is why.

I agree with the dislike for mid weed games. However we only play ONE home game in November.........

That's true, but we only play 2 games in November on the road.
