Our Baseball Facility

Well GoHerd I’m 72 that’s why I’m laughing. I’ve heard all this discussion about a baseball facility since I was a kid growing up in Huntington. I’ve seen the Herd play in many places around town so now we’ve had this big announcement and excitement BUT we now have to wait 11 months to break ground? Not funny but it is. Guess you just don’t know the history regarding the entire build a baseball park for Marshall but I hope I can live on to see the opening game in the place.

They are waiting on 1 thing. The blue print has not been completed and given to the contractor yet. Permits have to be obtained as well.

Will be interesting to see the dimensions overall, and feet down the lines. Just eye balling it from the initial drawings and driving past the lot, looks like it could be a hitters park.

Which sucks for us because our pitchers are hitters pitchers

One thing people often complain about with Hamrick is how long he takes to do things.
But I feel Hamrick's merely trying to get everything right the first time.
I don't know how close in your 72 years of existence, MU came to actually building one, but Hamrick appears to have this one actually going into motion.
I'd just like for it to be done correctly as would all of us. Permits, contracts, architects, etc., if it takes 11 months, so be it.

Where you been oldeherd I posted this last week. You just catching up on reading?

bb, its the spring "slow reading" season. Following Herd basketball and another scintillating (yawn) Green-White "game" (scrimmage)! What can I say?
