Brohm won't have 5th and 6th year QBs every year, let's not overreact. Big difference between a 6th year QB and true freshman at QB. Doughty is that good, I'll buy that their program is when they can replace him and continues doing the same things. He's a beast.
I seem to remember Doughty throwing 8 TDs last year. Not sure how much clearer to be than I'll buy into their overall program if they replace Doughty and keep rolling. He's a beast.
had you only listed Doughty i would have been "clear"... but you compared him to a true freshman QB as the reason they were winning. i merely pointed out that they beat us last year too.... against one of the 3 best QB's to ever play here....
You compared Brohm to UCF, which I took to mean a nemesis we can't seem to beat. Until I see anything from WKU without Doughty I'm just not ready to put Brohm on the pedestal you are. You feel it's Brohm, I feel he's a product of Doughty, agree to disagree.
If Brohm continues to beat Marshall without Doughty you'll be right, for now I think your overreacting after two wins. UCF owned us for a long time and did it with some very poor to average QBs.

We can thank our coaching staff for last year's loss. Legg tried to all of the sudden reinvent our offense for the first half. Coming out with empty sets. He's an idiot.
To the other point, hell yes, if anyone wants Brohm, he's gone. This is the pinnacle of WKU football. His best shot will be at the end of this season or just prior to. I think he will not be coaching in their bowl game.
He has a sixth year QB that is likely to be drafted. Brohm is an idiot if he doesn't leave for a bigger job. WKU is a minor campus in an area dominated by Kentucky and Tennessee fans, this is indeed their pinnacle.

ucf was able to win with worse teams than ours, they also retained their coach, and finally, they also became a major threat to the conference.
Much ofbthe teams success relies on two people, doughty, and brohm.
One is likely to try for the NFL...hopefully Cleveland, so his career will end with either a combination of injuries and AIDS or just terrible play forcing him out.
Brohm can be hired for a better program. If his schemes work at the higher level, good job, we lost to someone who was clearly better. If he fails, well then he will fall back down to CUSA, and have to get his staff and players in order and likely to have to deal with a lack of everything.
In short, it would be a nightmare for him to get back to glory.
I hope this is his final season, if not, have fun replacing doughty and 90% of your team.

Doughty, Higgbee, Wonderful Terry, Prince Carlos, Thomas, Dangerfield... all seniors. They graduate as much talent as we did last year. That is a hell of allot of talent to try and replace. Their DB Leston is back next year, he's a hell of a player. I think he's had 5 picks on us the last 2 games.
I have a feeling Litton will make WKU his bitch the next three years. This game will be personal for him.
