Heard this as a possibility.

Russia keeps all land it has taken plus another buffer zone but, are not incorporated into Russia proper at this point. Those areas within 20 years can vote, to become Russia or not to become Russian.

Russia and Ukraine work to clean up mine fields, ordinance etc, in a determined buffer zone(dead area) and DMZ type area.

A DMZ is set up with observers from different nations. Similiar to N Korea and S Korea but no US bases there like in S Korea.

Ukraine WILL Not become a part of NATO.

This might work if Putin dies within a few years. Otherwise, it will just give him time to regroup and redeploy Russia’s resources to obtain his original goals in the near future.

Good job Obama and Biden for all the Ukraine to NATO talk and moves. Now thousands are dead and Ukraine is smaller.

That would just be a straight up win for Russia.

I mean I don’t think the US really cares much about what happens to Ukraine, it’s done it’s job costing Russia a lot of money, but that “deal” would just be giving Ukraine to Russia. Those elections would be fixed by Russia and if there is nothing stopping them from just invading the rest after (which only NATO membership would do) then they will.

Russia is winning now and it's costing us a lot of $$$.

Russia didn't move into a position to invade until Mush Brain foreign policy started discussing Ukraine being a part of Nato. Add this to the legacy of foreign policy blunders Biden has supported.

Well, Russia is winning the war.

Because here is Ukraine's other choice? Keep fighting, go ahead, we won't stop you but, we are going to cut your fudnign and we rae not coming into the fight.

It’s costing them more.

The sooner Russia can win the better it is for them, and they’re probably our #3? global enemy. You could argue either them or Iran for #2 I think.

Whether it’s worth continuing to weaken them by supporting Ukraine I cannot say and reasonable minds can differ, but that was always the point.

Sorry Ukraine, we can't afford to help you after wasting $3 trillion over 20 years in Afghanistan and Iraq.

That cost is 15% of the yearly cost of the orange jesus tax cut.
Time for another tax cut for the rich.
Taxes can go other places besides Ukraine. If they want to fight it out, then go ahead. Just not on our dime nor us getting drug into further escalation.

Our idiots in DC had some idea that Ukraine should be in NATO. Look what happened.

I’m not convinced they ever really wanted Ukraine in NATO or considered that a serious possibility. I think (and have thought since the beginning) that the reason for US support of Ukraine is purely to bleed Russia of resources.

From some of the aerial views that have been shown of many Ukrainian towns and villages, there is not a whole lot left. It will take decades to rebuild.

Not really working. They have advanced as an Army. Their production and technology is up. They are more battle hardened than we are. they have formed new alliances.

There is no scenario, outside of the West putting boots on the ground, that this ends without Ukraine cedeing territory to Russia. Does that suck? Yes. Is that the cold, hard reality? Yes.

I give you credit for admitting Russia isn’t enemy number one. At this point they are just retards with a large gas can.

How would be giving all the area with overwhelming Russian support to Russia help Russia in Ukrainian elections? That’s like saying if we gave California to China we would be more likely to get a communist president.

Since the U.S. is being "invaded" from the south, let's give Texas to Mexico and that way the immigrants can go there and won't be coming to our country. Problem solved.

Let's be honest. Russia couldn't successfully take over their neighbor. Their equipment is garbage and in disrepair. Hell they are calling in the norksfor man power. The only reason we give two shits about Russia, and it is a huge deal, is because they have nukes.

Have to give them California too

If joining NATO was the big reason why Pootin launched his three day special op against Ukraine, why didn't Russia try something similar against Finland and Sweden right before they joined NATO?

The $$$$ spent on Ukraine only constitutes a small percentage of our Defense budget, yet has drained the Russian military. Heck, they couldn't do a damn thing in Syria to save their buddy Assad other than give him and his fam a dacha near Moscow.
