Pray for our enemies

If gays would just live their lives and stop the in your face stuff, pushing their agenda - I think they would find a more accepting world.

How’d that work out back before they started pushing their wacky agenda of “don’t arrest us” or “don’t kill us”?

I feel the same way about Christianity.
Yep. It's funny, I know many gay persons. All wonderful individuals. Living their lives and happy. When we speak about issues and rights, to a person they don't understand some of the things the LBGTQ community does

Funny, but it's been Islam, communism and Naziism that have century old histories of repression, punishment and condemnation of homosexuals in their societies. Meanwhile in the US it is the Church that has been been condemned with recent efforts to change their centuries' old liturgy. But yeah, keep repeating the lies so many of us are getting tired of hearing...

I think the debate has been co-opted by the Left and their willing accomplices in the media that the fringes on both sides of this are the mainstreams. I.e. all homosexuals have no agenda and just want to live their lives and all Christians or Republicans want to do punish, banish and mostly commit violence against gays...

It’s really not a competition to see who hates gays the most, but do you really not think that the US has a “century old histories of repression, punishment and condemnation of homosexuals in (our) society” that was pushed by the religious right?

I’m not asking if we were worse than Muslim countries; we weren’t. But you don’t think there was, again “repression, punishment and condemnation of homosexuals in (our) society”?

Then why project things that haven’t recently happened in the US to things that have recently, and continue to occur in other countries???

You and your side have framed the debate for far too long - if you are against drag queen story time to pre-teens you must be a bigot that wants to eradicate all gays from society...

Let's say I also have an objection to Hetero Swingers are Us story time. Does that also make me a bigot that wants to eradicate all heterosexual swingers from society???

Transgenderism, whether their advocates realize it or not, is hurting the gay community. Instead of being a gay man and being attracted to other men, for instance, their argument is that you’re actually a woman so you need to just transition. If transgenders had their way, nobody would be gay.

Crazy.

Like the gay man who posed with and was proud of having his nuts removed.

Well...Along with his nuts went any and all sexual desires. He went from being gay to being a eunuch.

I'm sure many have done the same thing.

Too many leftists/bleaters think it's okay to do this to our children. Lives ruined, all for a fist full of dollars.

You want to be a dumbass and ruin your life as an adult, fine. Just leave children alone.

I’m framing it? I’m quoting you. Do you think the US has “century old histories of repression, punishment and condemnation of homosexuals in (our) society”?

No, you're avoiding the question like you typically do. You seldom answer anything but try to reframe your position, not frame someone else's.

First and foremost do you think homosexuality is a normal physiological and biological condition that can naturally maintain and even grow a society? Failure to define that makes all your attempts to play "gotcha" a moot point. Answer that (for a change) and there might be an opportunity for intelligent and not emotional discourse.

I’m framing it? I’m quoting you.

No you're not. I applied that statement to Islam, communism and Naziism.

See below.

You didn't quote me, you framed and misapplied what I said.

You lied...

If homosexuality isn’t natural, why would god allow it to occur?
What an absurd position. Are you arguing God doesn't "allow" (please define what you mean by that term) unnatural or sinful acts to occur? Because if that's your position, you're starting from zero, friend.

Free will. It isn’t natural for a person to have sex with farm animals, but it happens. Or are you claiming that's natural too?

But I'm the one with cognitive dissonance...

I said biologically and physiologically. You are the one that invoked God. Keep trying though.

Now answer a question for a change...
Doesn’t matter what you said. You attempted to frame your question to get the only answer you want.

So I ask again, why does your god allow homosexuality to occur if he is the creator of all things and makes no mistakes?

The title of this thread made me think of the description of the Medici family: “Kind and generous toward their friends, cruel and ruthless toward their enemies.” I like that.

probly same reason he allows murder, cancer, and whatever else to occur. yore conveniently ignoring the free will posts above, and you've obviously never been exposed to biblical scripture if you have to ask that question.

No. Magats. You're assuming attraction to the same sex is choice. Hfbf is not.

It's already been answered in this thread, twice...

And it doesn't matter what I said??? Wow, I've always heard words have meaning and to say what you mean and mean what you say...

Speaking of framing (attempting to) questions to get the only answer that you want...

But I will humor you (and myself). Is murder a natural condition for humans? Hmmm, could that be why there is The Sixth Commandment in the Bible - Thou shall not kill? But is there still murder in the world?

At its base level or natural state sex is for procreation - to have offspring and to continue the species. It is the same for all living organisms.

Physiologically in humans and mammals it takes one of each sex to procreate - a male and a female. Do you not agree?

Also physiologically the anus is not intelligently designed for penetrative sex like the vagina. It is definitely not designed for procreation and births. There's some irony about the cycle of life there...

As for our God, there are many references to sins of all types in the Bible, including homosexuality in both the OT and the NT. I, like all, struggle with sin. I do the things I don't want to do and don't do the things that I should. I am no better than any gay person. The only thing about me that is different is I acknowledge my sins, ask for forgiveness from God and ask to be released from the bandage of sin.

Without God I would be mired in my sin and would be a much less effective and useful person. I want others to experience the joy and peace this gives, straight or gay, male or female, black, brown, yellow, red or white. Instead I've been framed as a racist, genocidal piece of...

And in the end God doesn't make mistakes. Men do...

I think I've said all there is to say about the matter. Thanks for asking.

The difference in our opinions is that I think being gay, for most, is neither a choice nor a sin. But then again, I don't believe in god. I believe there could be a higher being out there but it assuredly it isn't one all-knowing, benevolent being that judges our time on earth and punishes us for not being who it wants us to be.
